We've been coming here for years. The food is delicious.

We showed up at 6pm on a Friday night without a reservation. The hostess whom I believe to be the owner, was super busy but gave us a table within 5 minutes of arrival. It’s a super small restaurant with additional tables outside which is where we sat. All tables were full and the waiters did a great job of keeping up and all with a smile. Ordered chicken piccata with a side of penne and marinara sauce as well as a few links of Italian sausage. Everything was really good and more then we could eat. Had chocolate cake with ice cream and took home tiramisu for later, which were both really tasty and nice size portions. We really enjoyed our meal and thanked the owner again for giving us a table so quickly.

I LOVED the linguini con vongole (spaghetti with clam sauce). Incredibly fresh and delicious and bountiful portion! The salads were delicious, the wine excellent and wonderful service. Will be going back next week with two of our friends. What a treat, Caffe Giostra. Glad to finally know about it! Thank you dear Amanda, for introducing us to a great Italian local restaurant! And, easy parking, unlike downtown Petaluma!

The Halibut with white wine lemon sauce. OMG. So delicious. So friendly. Service beyond excellent. I give them 10 stars

Excellent food and great service every time. Make reservations if possible, it gets busy. Locals with reservations will just blow past you in line with little regard for others. Long list of specials. Outdoor tents set up in the parking lot. The bruschetta is a must-have.

Excellent food, service and ambience...Our waiter who we wanted to adopt as our grandfather, he was charming and for dessert he showed us a few magic trips which was a Very Nice Touch

This place serves the most amazing Italian food I have ever had !!! Wonderful service here and the staff are highly trained and professional! The place it’s self is very clean and has a very cozy homey ambience that makes you feel at home. The food is delicious and comes our very fast along with very good service!! Caffe Giostra will forever be my number 1 go to Italian restaurant :)

So the food is very good but we had a bad experience there. We checked goog to see when closing time was for lunch. The info said 3:00. We rushed there all the way from Forestvile and arrived at 2:20. As we walked in the owner shouted at us. " we're closed" with a mouth full of food. We said that it says closing is at three on Google and he said those are old hours, looked down at his food and shooed us away. Rude. Not cool.

I totally agree with the previous guests of Cafe Giostra!! That FEMALE owner is very rude, needs to learn the meaning of CUSTOMER SERVICE. My husband and I had been a good customers of GIOSTRA for a llong time until we had the to go SANDY PESCATORE!! I called her with the purpose of giving them a warning about the dish just in case someone else order the same one, Instead of thanking me, she right away argued with me, and assumed I just wanted free meal. That was my first time complained about the taste, I have never called her for anything even sometimes food has a little lack of taste. we always assumed it was just a fluke because normally it was good. This time PASTA was just UN-EDIBLE!! There was no string of pasta that wasn't covered with sand!! Never went back after that very bad,RUDE experience!! Too bad we normally spend $150.00 (leaving great tips as well) during my husband and I date night. Happy to say spending it some other restaurants.
