Fathers day ruined over tray choice, as a fathers day gift my family wanted to take me to our favorite taco spot. When my wife asked if they could put our 16 taco order in a round tray they denied and yelled across the room, NO!!! The taco tray is for 20 taco orders, we would have just bought another 4 tacos but the way they went about it was not right. Truly disappointed, this has been our spot and we take and recomend to lots of people.
Not much to say other than, if you in the area, you gotta try 2 Potrillos. Californians have so much good Mexican to choose from it's hard to claim the best. this is definitely among those good spots for comida mexicana.
The man making the tacos and burritos was rude apparently they use to serve roasted peppers and grilled onions which is a must at a good taqueria such as tacos El Gordo in San Diego or tj tacos in Escondido to name 2 ..the food was not flavorful the Carne asada burritos ,birria or tripa tacos ? the tripas were not the best they were not tender at all ...overall experience not good
Taqueria 2 Portillo has a cowboy feel to it ?. I've enjoyed the Carne Asada tacos, Al Pastor tacos, consome/soup, and empanadas with meat. The fresh strawberry drink is my personal favorite.
Great tacos and great customer service
The food is always great but you really shouldn't take online and over the phone orders WITH a pick up time if your not going to honor it. My pick up time was 2:04. I didn't get my food until 2:38. I have to be at work at 3. I would have gone somewhere else if I would have known this. This isn't the first time this happens. Happened 2 years ago with an over the phone order. Didn't leave a review then because I wanted to give you the benefit of the doubt since the food is good. Don't offer a service if you're not going to honor it.
I’ve been going here for some time now, lately the couple of times I’ve been back has been bad… the meat I’ve noticed they don’t serve it from the stack that’s slow cooking it was dry as hell and didn’t taste good it seems like they are trying to get rid of old meat that’s probably been sitting for awhile and when I asked if they could cut from the stack they didn’t want to. I’m probably going to stop coming here I was very disappointed because who doesn’t like tacos lately the tacos here suck they are dry and the taste is not good not to mention the location.
Burrito was disappointing tacos were ok.... Overall cook at home.
Still one of the best places to get Al Pastor tacos in SoCal. Everytime I come visit from the pacific northwest I make sure to hit this spot up, I recommend you do too!
2 carnitas tacos & 1 carnitas burrito today. Never disappoints. Employees are helpful and courteous. Eat there every Monday. Highly recommend!
