Fantastic little place, they have amazing cocktails and are very creative. I love the vibe and the people that work there. My only complaint is with their list system. The woman who took down our information quoted us an hour to and hour and a half wait, which we were fine with. We wandered off and kept an eye on our phone. When we arrived back an hour later it said we were third in line to be seated and we then watched her seat two parties who had obviously just walked up. I understand people probably just bail on the wait list often, but we came to the area specifically for this bar so it was a little disenchanting. Besides that, the whole experience was amazing and we love the tarot cards given with their signature zodiac drinks. We're collecting them!
Overall had a good experience, with theatrical drinks.Line was about 1.5hr long when we went there at 8pm on Fri but some parties in front of us dropped making it shorter. The squash pasta was too heavy for me and it didn't list out that the chicken add on protein option was $8 extra. The deviled egg and the Zodiac drink (Aquarius) was my favorite.Remember to check your receipt as they will charge extra if the alcohol cup isn't marked off as returned due to it being stolen by other customers in the past.
What an amazing restaurant! This super-fun restaurant has speak-easy like cocktails that come out flaming to a great selection of vegetarian options as well as sushi grade fish. Every course we tried, which was a lot, did not disappoint. For food we had the Crudo Ahi Tuna, Cast Iron Fondue, Crispy Brussels Sprouts, Turmeric Pickled Deviled Eggs, Croquettes of the Day, Carrots, and Veggie of the Day "Green Beans."Our server was extremely attentive and the food was not rushed but came at at a nice pace for tapas style sharing and eating. Would highly recommend to anyone near downtown Paso Robles. Do arrive early and put your name in to get a seat as they did not take reservations when we visited. We were there on a weeknight around 5:30pm and waited about 15 minutes for four people. At about 6pm it started to get busy and there were quite a few people waiting outside for table.
This was our favorite stop during our trip to Paso Robles. We got there a couple minutes after they opened on a Sunday so it wasn't busy at all. The hostess was super friendly and showed us to our seats at the bar where the awesome bartenders made us some amazing drinks! The whole aesthetic of this place is just fantastic. My favorite drink was definitely the Nimbus which was recommended by the bartender. It tasted like a gummy worm to me... Without being sickeningly sweet. We just had 4 drinks while we were there but we definitely plan to go back the next time we're in the area. We raved to our friends and family about this place and we are looking forward to trying some food here. Thanks for a great time!
My Sister who lives in Paso kept telling me about Alchemists Garden, so I came up from the Five Cities to have some Sister time and go to this restaurant. she said let's go at 4 when they open because they always have a line. There was a line but it moved quickly. We were sat inside and I loved the atmosphere and staff was so friendly and happy. The drinks were of course delicious and the pasta that I ordered was amazing, my Sis got the duck chalupa and it was so good, I can't recall ever having duck before. But those fries were above and beyond and the dipping sauces were out if this world. I have to say that they are reasonably priced as well. Next time I'm downtown Paso I will get in line to have The Alchemists' Garden!!!
WOW!!! Such am awesome surprise!! Cocktails, food and service were off the charts!! Cannot wait to visit again!!
amazing food, attractive service, great location, and the drinks were delicious, a must when in Paso!!
Very pretty cocktails and food was amazing my hubby had the steak and I had the duck chalupa they were out of what I originally wanted but our server dessy recommended it and it was amazing ! Great service as well everyone was super attentive.
One of the better fancy restaurants. The cocktails are divine. They make cocktails really well. We got a bunch to try and it came in cool contraptions and with smoked rosemary. We got almost everything on the menu to try. We got the jerk chicken, cheese fondue, bone marrow, fries and tuna crudo. I would skip the tuna crudo next time, it was meh. The jerk chicken was good, had a good spice and sauce to it. Bone marrow was good too except it came out after our entrees. I think the server forgot to put it in. Cheese fondue was not fondue, more like a cheese dip. The fries are amazing! Get that. As for entrees we got the pork chop and salmon. Salmon skin was nice and crispy. Needed salt or seasoning though. But still good. We also got the banana split dessert. Definitely would come back.
Nice ambiance, great drinks, delicious food and really good service to top it all off. Worth a visit and keep coming back for their unique zodiac cocktails.
