Well, I have been wanting to enjoy a dinner at the taproom for a while. On a recent trip to Paso Robles were able to try it out. WAS NOT IMPRESSED. Food was ok, menu was hard to follow, especially on line, service of which there is non was the reason for never going back. I could eat at Denny's and get same quality food and pay less. I understand that we have to keep human contact to a minimum since the outbreak of COVID but having to go to an outside source on your phone to get a menu is ridiculous. To get your food ordered you also have to use this service. Then your food sits under a lamp at the kitchen until a delivery person can somehow make it to your table. After the meal is done you then pay through the outside service which requires you pay a 20% gratuity for your meal. If I had gotten service , that would not be a problem. No service = no tip. What if you did not have a smart phone, you would have to stand in line at the bar like you do at McDonalds. Not what I would call a real upscale dinner but I paid upscale prices. Not on my list to go back again.
Had a great lunch here on our way to Cambria. Got seated right away and our lunch was delivered promptly. You can order at your table or at the bar. At the table you use a QR code to place and access the menu. I had the house burger and my wife had the shrimp poorboy sandwich. Both were tasty. My only gripe is that the use of cherry tomatoes is not a great idea. Maybe if they were cut in half. Tasty beer selection too. I bought a six pack to go.
Was looking forward to dining at the Taproom a second time and wasn’t disappointed. Got seated quickly on a busy Sunday outside with our pup. QR code dining and food and drinks arrived fast. Great beer selection and tasty food. Burger was excellent and my wife had the shrimp poorboy sandwich. Server’s working hard to satisfy you. Very clean as well.
We had lunch at FW several years ago, and had a wonderful meal. They have went decidedly down hill since then. I had a hamburger that was so greasy it would not stay in the bun, very unappealing taste My wife had tacos which she said were not bad, but again they had grease dripping from the corn tortilla. I realize that since Covid things have changed, but their service was atrocious. We were seated and asked to order with our phones with a Q Reader which was fine. They serve your food, but they never return to check on the quality of your food or if you need anything further.
This is our second stop at the FW Tap Room. Enjoyed the paired down menu, previously there was way to much on the menu. I consider this gourmet pub food. Perfect to go with the newly acquired Cali Squeeze Blood Orange beer. The pretzel is a can’t miss, same for the fish tacos and the spinach goat cheese salad. Well done.
Always love to visit the Taproom. Great food, staff and of course beer. I was a little disappointed that they didn’t have the Lager but the 805 is very good too.????
Love this place, good food great beer ?!! last time we went there had a small problem with our order. They were great and got it handled and took care of us. Highly recommend this tap room. Can't wait to go back. They also have awesome hats, clothes & other cool stuff for sale.
Pre ordered food and beer. Serviced was the absolute worst and the worst part was pretipping! Service should've paid us to be there! The beer was average at best. Nobody came to check on us. Pizza was horrible. Wish we would've supported and stayed at more local , small breweries was very pleased there. I don't think I'll ever go back there and after that I don't know that I'll ever drink another 805 due to the service or lack of service we had
We ordered a variety of menu items. The hot pretzel was delicious. Soft served with cheese dip and mustard sauce. The onion dip is served with house made chips. So good. Fish and chips were good. The sando was deemed the best my daughter ever had made with tri tip. And of course the beer selection is extensive. Order at the bar for quicker service. Inside and outside dining options.
Fresh food, not just bar food. Beer flights are just $2 for 3oz. Tasters. We had a blast here.
