The lunch specials are the best. a lot of food for $12.95. I love the chicken with green beans or Broccoli. My favorite is their egg foo young.
This restaurant is such a wonderful staple of Paso Robles. I haven't come across a better Chinese restaurant (in regards to quality, dedication to customers, and cost-we always have plenty extra for my husband and I to have lunch/dinner the following day). The staff is gracious and caring, always adapting to our requests, delivery time is usually much shorter than initially quoted, and the food is beyond amazing. It's our regular go-to. We will always call them when we want to hear a friendly voice on the other end of the phone and know that our food will be delivered quick, hot and delicious
China Gourmet’s food is not only delicious but also they went above and beyond to help me when I was hosting a cocktail party and my caterer did not show up on time. They worked with me to feed 60 people. Our guests could not be more excited for their Spring rolls, cream cheese wontons and different meat skewers. I can’t thank them enough. If you are in Paso Robles, definitely add this to place to your delivery options when you want good food delivered fast.
Passing through Paso Robles and tried this establishment after checking some reviews. Our two main dishes with virtually indistinguishable from each other even though completely different dishes--Kung Poa chicken and Chicken with cashews. The peanuts and cashews were nearly MIA and both were terrible dishes not related to our previous experiences at other dining places. The latter dish contained no brocolli nor water chesnuts as noted on the menu.
Was recommended by a friend and I wouldn’t regret attending! I was beyond pleased with the food, the staff and the service. Would definitely recommend it !
Super clean place and one of the best chow mein ever !!!!! Must visit in the area. We always try to come here when in the area and always get the same thing the veg chow mein
I have ordered take out and dined in with guests over the years and the food has always been great and generous helpings. Owner Jack Chan has always been most gracious to me and remembers my usual order. I highly recommend this restaurant. Walter Seibert
I heard about this place via a friend of mine. We we're discussing a potential location to dine, and this was his option. Admittedly, I was unsure of this establishment due to the nature of the my friends description. That being said, upon entering, I was truly blown away by the sheer class and elegance this restaurant holds. The interior dining area is beautiful, well decorated. The service was fabulous, and the food itself was some of the best cuisine I have had. It was clear my worries and concerns were proven wrong. Overall, a solid place to eat with either friends or family. Highly recommend!
Always enjoy coming to this restaurant. Great food, friendly service, definitely will continue coming here, and whenever you come to town, you must try this!
I'm picking up food for a friend who has COVID, I come in say my friends name and two people there did not want to hear the name they continue asking for phone number and what the order was. I'm picking up food for (name here). CHECK or that's what he said his name was, very disrespectfuly called me Discriminating names because he didn't understand the name for the order. Very poor customer service, CHECK didn't want to give me the food, because it was not paid for, he held on to the bag like I was going to steal it... he never said the order is $9.95 he just held on to the bag after handing it like how do I know if the order was paid for. Just say the order is $9.95, and move on. But CHECK wanted to hold the bag with the food inside and treat the customer poorly. Then if it wasn't enough he took my $20 bill and gave me change back with the UNPAID receipt back. I politely asked for my PAID receipt and he did not want to tender it. I suggested to practice good business ethics and he LAUGHED. This GOURMET CHINESE restaurant is no longer on my to go list. Good luck to you if you want to be a patron and savor DISCRIMINATION, POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE AND POSSIBLE RACKETEERING!
