It was a nice dinner for the convenient situation that we are staying at the resort we’re is located; because is not a restaurant that I will drive to go for a special celebration; the services is really training to be courteous but they really lack on high restaurant level; is more a casual setting on a nice place; the food is commercial nothing especially will take your palate to dream of coming back and enjoy.
We stayed in the hotel for 2 nights and ended up eating here twice. That says something. One night lively, one night quiet, but each night the food was very good and consistent, and the setting on the patio under the archways was perfect. Attentive service. Much better than a typical hotel dining room, the restaurant stands on its own.
I had requested a table for 6 in the shade but only half the table was shaded. We had to keep moving the table back into the shaded area. They could have easily put us under the roof on the patio as it was empty at 11:30. The service was incredibly slow. We had to ask for water refills and ice. As soon as the food was served the flies descended and were relentless! No fans to try to keep them at bay. The Huevos Rancheros was supposed to come with salsa but it was forgotten until we asked for it. What was brought was Pico de Gallo and Cholula! Since we were a group of 6 we received one check with an automatic 20% tip. Only 2 people could put their meals on credit cards because of their antiquated payment system. Then, once we'd paid the people using credit cards we're not able to receive receipts. With so many excellent restaurants in Paso Robles don't bother with Cello at Allegretto! Expensive and minimal service.
Wine country quality food, elegant surroundings and high end pricing would have been acceptable if the service had ben better. Breakfast took almost 2 hours, I think we were forgotten. There was a struggle seating people and we were skipped for breakfast reservations the next day and finally left. My husband experienced the same lack of service awareness at the bar. He went to order some drinks so that we could sit by the fire. Waited 15 minutes and wasn't acknowledged at all. Finally, when another larger man approached the bar and was immediately served, he knew something wasn't right. I think most of the issues could be solved with better service training and management. The food was very good for both dinner and breakfast. Perhaps it was the Memorial holiday staffing. That shouldn't matter, because the hotel was at full capacity. That is when you should step up your game.
We wanted to check out this beautiful resort before leaving the area for possible future visits. The resort was beautiful and we decided to have breakfast there. It was a big disappointment. One of us had the classic breakfast. The potatoes were not edible, very well done deep fried and called country potatoes. The eggs were very overcooked and the price $24! The eggs on the Huevos Rancheros were also not as ordered. The service was good. We won't be eating there again.
Had dinner there last night. Restaurant is very noise as there is nothing to buffer the noise. Service is very slow. I ordered the chicken with pasta carbonara and it was so bad that after two bites I sent it back. The chicken was tiny pieces that were burnt and tough, the pasta was dry and the sauce was like glue. They seemed to have left it under the heat lamp for a very long time. My hubby ordered a Caesar salad and he added chicken. His chicken was very tough. We ordered. Margarita pizza and it was over cooked also. Try not to eat at this hotel restaurant. There are so many great places to eat in Paso that it is a shame they stay in business.
We were guests of Allegretto so dined here for quite a few meals. It seems that if we asked a question it had different answers depending on who asked. Our first night here we ordered a charcuterie platter that had deli meat instead of spanish ham as shown in the photo in the elevator which may have been acceptable but not for $26.
pizza was amazing!! came for my husbands birthday and they gave us dessert. ambiance and staff excellent definitely come again
1 one: TerribleWe had reservations for lunch at 2:30 but they informed me when we arrived lunch stops at 2:30pm so the menu is 5 or 6 items and not a real meal. We decided to stay because we didn't have reservations any where else and were starving. The serves was so slow and the "cello burger" was bad nothing special and over priced. The "famous" Allegreto restaurant is definitely nor worth anyone's money
We stayed here while in Paso and loved the hotel. Their Cello Restaurant is very good, but you pay for it. We had a couple of Caesar Salads, duck and salmon and all was very good. Service started off slow, but quickly improved. We also had breakfast our last morning which was very good.
