We sat down to have a late dinner at 9:30, the staff was rude and literally ignored us because they were apparently understaffed and didn’t want to serve us. When we asked Service staff to help us, we were told to “wait a second” but they never came back to check on us. We were literally ignored for 20 minutes with no menu, drinks and sitting at a dirty table. Interestingly, the staff proceeded to clean the EMPTY table next to us rather than our table which made no sense. What’s worst is the staff simply didn’t care. They were unprofessional, rude and made us feel disrespected. Worst service I’ve ever encountered at a hotel restaurant. We ended up leaving since we couldn’t get service and went to the nearby CPK, where we were treated like royalty.
For a 5 star hotel this restaurant is terrible. I had dinner and breakfast here. For dinner I had a Caesar salad with wilted lettuce and an absurdly high salt content, and the chicken penne pasta with (cheddar cheese?) and overly cooked chicken bits. For breakfast I had a ham and cheese omelet that actually was ok, but the “home fries” were clearly out of a frozen bag with zero seasoning and the toast was so cold the butter didn’t even melt. And for my viewing pleasure on the tv over the bar was “Supernatural” and I was lucky enough to witness a stabbing and a beheading in this particular episode. Cmon guys you could (should) do so much better …
This spot is worth visiting. They serve big portions for fair prices. Always neat and with good vibes. Will come visit again.
Try their Crab Cake Benedict. Wonderful and the hollandaise was buttery rather than lemony which was perfect for the crab cakes. My partner had the corned hash and for once it looked good even to me. He said it was yummy. I hear their coffee isn't great so we stuck with a mimosa and grapefruit juice. Mmm.... Off to wander Pasadena, CA now.
We were staying at the Westin, and after a long day at the Huntington, decided to try this place at the hotel. The food was good (grilled fish, shrimp scampi). The menu is basically ala carte, although the fish did come with bok choy. Dinner for 2 (starter, 2 entrees, 1 side, 1 wine) $110.
My Lady and I walked in to have a nice steak dinner just now Dec. 4th 2019 we got glared at seated and then no one came over to give menus ask us for our drinks or anything. I was prepared to spend $150 on dinner. We walked out and were headed out to spend our money at Smitty's Grill. Just to bad because we've been staying at the Westin Pasadina for 4 days and were treated this way. Very disapointed!!!
Overpriced for the quality of food they serve and pretty bad service. They just don’t care.
