Stoney Point Bar & Grill is a hidden gem in the hills of Pasadena. Located just off the 134 Fwy., Stoney Point offers an Italian menu in a cozy traditional Italian setting.There is a main dining room which offers intimate dinners or a dining space next to the bar for a more casual, social setting. There is a piano in this dining space.The bar is fun and lively. Locals come and have a quick bite at the bar, and it did seem as if everyone knew everyone!Service is spot on! Guests are immediately greeted with a Brushetta toast and tomato. We enjoyed the Crab Cake appetizer, the Lobster Ravioli and a evening special plate of Halibut.The fish special we could not finish. Not fresh, and over cooked. Very much enjoyed the Crab Cakes. Wine and wine list needed to be reevaluated. I had the Sangiovese and then a glass of Cabernet Sauvignon. Wine did not seem as if it was stored at the proper temperature of 55 degrees. The glass was not a typical high end wine glass. I would probably bring my own bottle of wine next time or just have a cocktail instead. This was the only thing I was disappointed in.Wait staff were present and attentive to our table needs. Friendly and suggestive. He even took our picture at the table and again in the dining room. The waiter thanked me for coming in and for his gratuity. (I gave more than the typical 20% because he was so helpful).Parking is tight. There were three spaces clearly marked which I was able to snag one. I am not sure where other patrons parked? I saw two cars parallel to the side, but not in marked spaces.I would definitely go here again. Enjoyable and quaint.

After many years of looking at the restaurant as we passed it on the 134, my husband invited friends, and we went to experience Stoney Point. What a pleasant surprise to receive both gracious and experienced service as well as inventive and delightful cuisine. We had crab cakes, San Rafael salad, pork chops, lemon chicken, and spaghetti with sausage. All of the choices were delicious. The salad had a brandy vinaigrette that I will now try making at home. Excellent. We will be back.

The food is terrific! The staff are very friendly, helpful, and courteous. The bartender knows how to make a great cocktail. Stoney Point has become our "go-to" restaurant for a wonderful meal to celebrate special occasions, or just for a great steak. They are also our new New Year's Eve take-out place during the pandemic. I wholeheartedly recommend this gem of a restaurant in a hidden corner of Pasadena.
OMG…. What can I say about this little jewel if restaurant I had so much fun with all the locals and apparently regulars…..and the piano player is amazing….. great vibe different for sure

This was our Christmas Eve dinner & the two of us try to find a memorable restaurant. This year we found an awesome restaurant. Our passion is Italy and we have enjoyed the best in Italy. The Stoney Point Restaurant absolutely delivered a great meal. We made an early time of 5 pm because restaurants get so busy on Christmas Eve. The wine list was ok but we got wine by the glass instead of a bottle. Up front we got the artichoke stuffed with shrimp. The artichoke was cooked perfectly. They also brought a nice bruschetta for an antipasti. I had the oso bucco and my wife had the swordfish & vegetables. My dish came with a pasta that was freshly made. The meat just fell off the bone. Both meals were definitely above what we are used to in L.A. Everything was prepared perfectly. I finished with a nice grappa. The wait staff was the best. This meal could be positively compared to the food we had in Italy last month. Wow.
I love Stoney Point. I have been going there since 1995. Amadeo and his staff are fabulous!!
