The worst Thai food ever! Food was bad, environment was dirty, service was awful and overall I would rate this 1 out of 5. We used to go to this restaurant for years and enjoying it very much, but moved out of Pasadena and didn’t go for few years. We went there yesterday with the same expectations but we were shocked that this restaurant is NOT the same as before! The ownership was changed… we asked and they said yes not the same owner. The place was like a storage of broken chairs and tables all stack up at different corners of the patio. Quality of food was the worst, my husband and I both got sick afterwards. The server was so rude and inattentive, she was taking our order with not taking notes just memorizing… our food came out sooooo late and very different from what we ordered… they brought us the wrong coconut soup, we started eating it as we thought it was ours, then all of a sudden another server came in and aggressively took the bowl of soup away and said this was not yours!!!! We were eating it and he came and took the food away!!!!!! Can you believe it? I don’t know where are these 4 or 5 stars coming from? Probably these are from where the old ownership was taking care of this place… do not waste your money amd time by gojng to this horrible place.

I love Saladang Garden! I love the "garden walls" tall metal cut out walls surrounding the restaurant. We chose to sit inside because it was a bit chilly.TIP for LUNCH: Arrive early because the place fills up. We were seated immediately. The options on the menu were a lot, breakfast, lunch or regular menus. I chose the Pad Thai from the lunch menu, but it was a bit too sweet, yet I enjoyed it. My husband ordered from the regular menu, pineapple fried rice which comes with shrimp and chicken. It's a huge mountain portion! He took half of it home for later.Service was excellent! When I needed a refill on my Jasmine Ice Tea it was filled immediately. When my husband's beer was finished he was asked if he wanted another!Parking is free on the lot between Saladang Garden and Saladang. Entrance is from Arroyo Parkway.Next time I am in Pasadena I will definitely to to Saladang Garden!

This place has amazing food, fusing both modern techniques with traditional flavors to bring a wonderful brightness to their dishes. You may be asking, "why the one-star review then?" Well unfortunately the quality of the food hardly matters when you have the appalling service that you can come to expect here. When dining in, it is an unorganized mess of a myriad of servers, each unsure of what food you have ordered or if your food is even coming. Ordering online is an even worse debacle if that can be believed! You may be greeted by one of many hosts who are incapable of communicating the problem to you clearly. When you do finally wring an answer from a manager, they will inform you that they placed their orders on hold. Despite successfully placing an order for pickup two hours ahead of time, I was told "Take it up with DoorDash" before being told to "F*** off". Such a shame.

The mooping and crispy trout were good but the rest of the food is mediocre at best.

This place is better during the summer and spring. It was really cold despite being indoors during the winter. The food was pretty good. Had some coconut fried shrimp that were okay, nothing special. Their coconut vegetable soup was really great, warm spices and nice body. They had some kind of grilled chicken that was a bit bland. Their crab fried rice was amazing though. They didn't overpower the delicate flavor of the crab

I ordered take out from Saladang Garden as many other places in the area were closed prior to The Rose Parade. The food was great. I had Panang Curry with Chicken, Pad See Ew with Beef, Tom Yum Soup with Chicken and the House Special Fried Rice. The fried rice had both beef and chicken. Everything was wonderful.

Great Food and Really Nice Service

Hands down the best Pad Thai - I don't say that lightly! Also, the fried cat fish is one of the best in Pasadena. I highly recommend the lunch specials.

First time I came here that must have been a decade ago and the food was great. Then the food quality was going downhill and I have stopped coming here for awhile. I came back here a few days ago and the quality of food has improved a great deal. However, they were obviously short staffed so it took awhile to be seated and took our orders. The curry soap noodles were so good. Everything else was tasty as well.

Very friendly service, clean environment, really good food.
