It's was my first time going to Rubio's. It just across the street from the pasadena civic center where I'm working. I ordered a shirmp burrito and a chicken burrito for my co-worker. My experience with the shirmp burrito wasn't to bad but not good at all. I felt the shirmp was undercooked, and it only had 8 small shirmps. Maybe I was expecting too much. The rice had not good flavor and the burrito was only a whole lot of rice and black beans with spur cream and some guacamole. I was hungry and eat half of it. But it wasn't good. Maybe the chicken burrito was better.
I ordered my food online and I don't know if there was a glitch in the online system or if they decided to take all the toppings off, but I open the bag and it's literally just rice, beans and shrimp. Nothing else! I go back to the counter and tell them the order is incorrect. They put just a sprinkle of each missing topping. I kid you not the bowl was SO tiny! I love Rubio's and it's never been this small. I overlook the sprinkle of toppings only to find a HAIR in my black beans!!! GROSS! I let the daytime manager know in the most polite way possible, "Hey, I found a hair in my food." She responds, "That's not a hair." I am just shocked. It's literally a hair drenched in black bean residue. I respond "It definitely looks like a hair to me." She finally says "Okay. I'll get you another order." So unprofessional. This Rubio's location needs to get their stuff together. What a hot mess! I DO NOT recommend coming here!UPDATE: I wrote that review while waiting for my food to be remade after the hair incident. After waiting 20 minutes, I asked for an update on the food. The same manager said "Oh I didn't put an order in. You were supposed to bring me your food and then I would put it in." I told her she never told me that. I had already thrown away the previous order. She just looked at me i was dumb and it was too late. At this point i just wanted a refund. I had wasted my lunch break and after an hour I left Rubio's hungry because I had to go back to work. The manager was unapologetic and this was truly a pitiful experience.
The food is ok. The manager that is there in the daytime is horrible. She attempts to force you to order something you don't even ask for and has a horrible attitude. Not only that but I've had to wait on my order for far too long, even when there's hardly any customers. I don't recommend this Rubios location whatsoever.
Great shrimp tacos. Good prices
Food is very flavorful which makes up for the small portions and probably quality as well.
The staff were very nice and the food was good
This one is my second time that they being me me bad serviceToday I bought 3 tacos ? for to goSi now when I open the plastic bag I saw only 2 tacos. I asked them for salsasbut they didn’t put any salsas on the side of my tacos. They have to page more attention to the customers. ?The first time I waste my time more than 45 minutes waiting my orden it’s was a big orden and they just told me. we don’t have more shrimp ?I told them why you didn’t told me that before I wasted my time for nothing?? They just said I’m sorry. That is not great.
Don't Waste Your Time Here, No Really, Expect To Wait At Minimum 35 Minutes For Your Order. The Cashier Taking My Order Said 15 - 20 Wait Time & It's Been Nearly 40. The Manager Is On The Phone, Orders Are Going Out Every 6 Minutes. They Couldn't Handle The Line & Closed / Locked Thier Doors.
They have no staff. It took 45 minutes to get our food. No warning ahead of time that it was going to take that long. They were out of rice!
Food was good. Employees don't wear masks properly.
