Scallops, ambiance
Our first time going to this restaurant and was so nice and felt very cozy on a summer evening in Southern California. Both the service and food that impeccable. The servers were very attentive. We sat outside and we were happy to see some COVID-19 safety protocols. Overall, our dinner experience was really nice and enjoyable. Thank you, to you all, the team for your hospitality!
Great energy from diners and staff. Understated sophistication enjoying California cuisine. I shared the whole fried Catfish which was exploding with flavor. And of course a decadent martini and wine for the table. Every dish was amazing from salmon, halibut and steak. Something for everyone. I am yet to have the pizza hmmmm it’s time to make a reservation!
They have delicious options on the menu and the outside seating was great. It was well ventilated, and has good heaters so you don't feel like you're even very cold. The service was wonderful. We really enjoyed our dinner.
They made my Daughter's 21st, Birthday so unforgettably Awesome! The food was A+ the Service was Outstanding, they Pampered Her. Thank You so much Parkway Grill.
Another great outing at Parkway Grill. Just a first class experience all around. Our server (Millicent) was professional from start to finish. The food (sea bass, halibut, chicken and lamp chops) was excellent- each dish prepared to our liking. If we didn’t live in Scottsdale we would be here often but when in town it is our “go to” for a great meal but be prepared to pay. With tip $550 for 4 of us and no bottle of wine.
Amazing place, the food is great, tasty, well presented. Our waiter was Patrick and he was just PERFECT. Everything here is a must, right music, noise level low, even when the restaurant was packed. Each plate was perfect. Highly recommended restaurant in Pasadena
The Parkway Grill delivers a cozy atmosphere and incredible dining.I enjoyed a beautifully presented, flavorful tuna tartare and fresh oysters for starters. Both dishes were light and refreshing, although the oysters did have a bit of grit to them. For my entrée I had the second best Chilean seabass I've ever had. This was the first time I've ever been asked how I'd like my fish cooked. I ordered it medium rare, same as I order my steak. This fish was exquisite. It had a lovely sear on the outside that was packed with flavor and the inside was glistening and moist. Excellent fish!My companion had the lamb and it was divine. It was cooked perfectly with great seasoning. I enjoyed the lamb just as much as fish. I was very impressed with the quality of our entrées.I cannot wait to come back and try other dishes!
After nearly two years of COVID-related restrictions, my wife and I decided to start venturing out, and last night’s celebration dinner at one of our favorite places - the Parkway Grill - didn’t disappoint. The Smith Brothers, owners of the Parkway Grill (along with Smitty’s and the Arroyo Chop House) have pivoted seamlessly by providing carry out and comfortable outdoor dining spaces at all three of their iconic Pasadena locations. We were celebrating the publishing of my wife’s second book, and wanted to do so at a special location with a tasty meal. We got both at the Parkway Grill in addition to excellent service from Carlos our waiter. We made reservations through Open Table, and decided on outdoor seating. Everything worked well, and we were seated in a very comfortable well-appointed tented space next to the restaurant. The cocktail and wine list continues to be extensive (the Smith Bros seem to have ‘cracked the code’ on supply chain challenges!) the appetizer list was just long enough without being overwhelming. We shared the tiger shrimp corn dogs, and a half bottle of champagne to start our celebration. Then moved onto dinner - my wife enjoying the sea bass and I had the scallops, both of which were prepared to perfection and absolutely delicious. We were treated to a surprise desert from Carlos as a way to acknowledge our celebration. All in all a wonderful dining experience. We’ve come to expect nothing else from a Smith Bros establishment.
So sad that the service and quality of food has deteriorated so much! Yet prices have double! Just don’t even have the words to say how terrible our meal was. Will not be returning.
