I came in 20 minutes before closing and was still seated. The staff were very nice and the food was exceptional. Everyone really went above and beyond to ensure a positive dining experience. 5 stars!
We loved the Oji special, surf and turf and rainbow rolls. The sashimi omakase was very fresh. My favorites were the soft shell crab appetizer and octopus sunomono. The yakisoba is ok at best. Service was fast and efficient.
Out of control amazing Uni and Ikura chirashi bowls. After being increasingly frustrated with the fish, cost and quality of service at sugar fish, we are officially Oji people now. So good. ?✨?

My husband, daughter and myself went here tonight for our daughter’s 12th birthday. She loves sushi and this place caught her eye. This was a wonderful experience all around. We ordered three sushi rolls and loved all of them. The guy that waited on us was so incredibly kind and made our girl feel so special on her birthday. They brought her complimentary soup, some ice cream with a candle and even a t-shirt. We so appreciated these kind gestures and it made her day so wonderful.
Best sushi experience I've ever had. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, and the service was fast. The quality was also great for the price! We were seated and helped immediately, with our waiter asking us about our days while waiting for my sister's gemini moon to make a decision. The sushi chef then handled her substitution so well and gave her a sample of her favorite fish on the house. Atmosphere: chill yet swanky. Overall: 10/10.
Sunday afternoon stroll in Pasadena for lunch.Relaxing setting, friendly services, good comfood.My spicy tuna roll in the box was really spicy! After 2 rolls, I'm scare to eat more lol.Every taste was perfect.
Usually one of my favorite sushi stops in Pasadena. Fresh fish; a broad menu; and well presented dishes. Service, however has been slipping of late, and the hour plus wait from ordering to most of the items arriving (we devoured an order of garlic edamame while waiting) was really disappointing; particularly since most of the staff were clearly doting over a group of about 10 seated at a couple of tables. I don’t know if it was family or a celebrity, but not ok at the expense of all the other guests. My dinner guests said this has happened to them there before. Hopefully this improves so Oji can again be on my recommendation list.
Sushi was very good. Was shamed by the waitress about how quickly we ate our dishes and once again at the end of the meal when she laughed about us possibly ordering more. Very weird experience, the food was great though.we ordered the yellowtail capacious, crispy rice, two rolls andFried squid legs. We could have easily eaten more but we were embarrassed and ashamed I hues? Haha embarrassing to write that. Mind you I was with two ladies and I'm a pretty large guy at 6 foot 2.
Delicious food and service. Our server Jenny was very knowledgeable and had a wonderful attitude.
