Loved the fluffy pancakes not too sweet at all

Love the souffles here and their tea options are solid too!The souffle does take a while (15-20+min) so would recommend ordering ahead before you get here if you're in a hurry. There isn't a lot of seating outside, but the Pasadena central is only a short walk away.

This is a very cute cafe in Pasadena on the corner of a busy intersection. We didn't have trouble finding street parking. There are lots of restaurants, retail stores, and other cafes around.Per recommendation by the employee, we chose to get the Mango sunshine soufflé pancake. $13.95. They may be pricey but the portion, quality and taste is worth it!They use mangos, mango purée, and assortment of fruits. The soufflés are made to order and use fresh ingredients from japan! You can see them make it right in front of you. They are the fluffiest cloudy pancakes I've ever tasted or seen! They are egg based, so it did have an eggy taste.Japanese Momo Peach Milk Tea without cheese foam $4.25I don't have a photo of this but this year was my favvvvv!!! It has such a subtly peach and floral taste. It has such a girly/feminine taste. Every sip was surprisingly better than the previous. Will be getting this again!

Great spot for boba but I think the Japanese souffle pancakes were actually the star of the visit. The tea was good, but I preferred a little bit stronger, but the souffle pancakes were firmer than normal, perhaps less eggy, but very balanced and the toppings were not overly sweet. There's plenty of seating outside with probably three or four tables inside and the service was attentive and polite.

I love everything you have here I like to recommend for the toppings on the pancakes should be less sweet snd less salty

Absolutely decadent! I got the berries in uji, taro cake, soufflé creme brelee pancakes, and strawberry box. The drink grew on me quickly. Genius concoction. I didn’t love the taro cake as much but I do enjoy trying taro in different forms. The pancakes are a slice of heaven, blessed and graced right into my mouth. Of course the strawberry box is good. Really excited to have gone here. They have SO MUCH stuff I want to try. Highly recommend. I’m too lazy to emphasize the need to try the creme brûlée soufflé pancakes. But really if you’re reading this you won’t regret it. Loved this place and hope to come back. Also, I don’t give out 5 stars lightly.

Cute little place with some tables inside and some outside, located on the corner. Got the Nutellamisu Mousse Souffle pancakes with Golden Roasted Oolong Milk Tea. The souffle pancakes were delicious! They tasted like coffee with Oreos and they were super fluffy but cooked well inside. Smothered in sauce with fruits all around. They're awesome. I didn't know what to expect for the golden roasted oolong milk tea but it wasn't for me, I thought it would taste like coffee but it had that English tea kind of flavor or something. The staff was friendly and prices are fair. You can park on the street.

Excellent and authentic matcha used in the drinks here. Lots of different options for drink add ons. And lots of really interesting photogenic drink options! The boba is soft and delightful and it perfectly complements the drinks. You can really tell that everything here is fresh. I ordered a fruit milk tea and it came with whole blueberries and boba! It was such a refreshing surprise to have actual fresh fruit in a drink. Totally recommended!

Motto Tea Cafe - Pasadena in Old Town Los Angeles, CA is excellent. It embodies the third wave of coffee, and the tea and food match that quality. The triple threat won't disappoint along with a calming, contemporary venue with its light wood panels and furnishings, it's wide, open space with plenty of seating that comes alive with people and becomes so vibrant that you linger and enjoy.

I ordered a hot taro milk latte. They gave me a cup with COLD paste on the bottom and boiling milk up top. They didn’t mix it up AT ALL. I couldn’t feel the hot milk with the cup sleeve on so i assume it was lukewarm after a but of stirring since bottom of the cup felt COLD. OMG BURNED MY MOUTH SO BAD! It’s been 2 days and it’s still hurting from the burn. Honestly. Who serves boiling drinks like that??
