A very expansive place to eat!Who pays $10 for ONE tamale???I ate one when it was $7.00 and will not eat one again,they are NOT good at all,too thick! You are paying for masa.only once I did try one and very good ,it regular size,thin.I ask who made them and the waiter said the relief cook , the other was on vacation. They should have kept the relief!!!We had not been there in two years,the service is great. The food the same.but they should also give a small salad so the plate ofFood is not too dry.We will go again,maybe three years.
A restaurant that can survive over 100 years AND a pandemic?! Yes please. A delicious meal. We ate indoors. The dining room was a bit noisy, but it was full. If sound is an issue, eat outdoors. The veggie wet burrito was huge and tasty. The pork tamale dinner was delicious and a generous portion. Service was very good. We had a mango and a jalapeño margarita. Delicious. Large menu of drinks and food.
We wanted to try a new spot for Mexican food, this was definitely a good place and we ordered several plates all of them were really good. The horchata was amazing and the burrito was on point, we finished the day by ordering a fried ice-cream and was delicious.
Like convenience of parking lot right in front of the entrance especially since I’m handicapped! Indoor and outdoor seating is nice food is delicious and authentic! They have bar, private party bandy rooms for reservations the location is favorable not too congested! I’d go back anytime!
Already left my detailed review on Yelp. Not impressed with the defensiveness of the manager. I understand things are hard, but that doesn't mean I am willing to accept a sub par experience. Like was said, everyone in food service is experience staffing difficulties, but my experience here was worse enough to earn less than average marks.In the end, my complaint lies primarily in the bland food, not the hard-working staff. However, I think limiting seating to reduce unnecessarily long waiting while seated would greatly improve customer experience.I would love to come back and be proven otherwise.
For a place that's been here for 100 years, they still produce good food and cocktails. It's a little pricey, but the patio is a great place to hang out on a sunny day.
Terrible the manager maria was rude and had the nerve to tell us we was too loud with our phone . When other people was louder and rude making crazy noise we talked to her and told the reason was to drown out the people loud noise they had the nerve to complaints . I didn't know you had a certain amount of noise you are allowed to have you are in an environment with tons of people are making noise why do you single out one particular group. Very unprofessional I will never go back there again I do not recommend this place at all and some of the food was cold and they also double charged me on my bill and I have to wait to get it corrected once it shows up on my account.
Going to a UCLA football game and we needed a place to eat. The restaurant was busy so we sat at the bar and ordered. The bartender was great, margaritas and food excellent. We weren't rushed and enjoyed our time. We will be back, Thank you
Beautiful restaurant; vibrant & fun. Good food (with large portions!) Friendly and accommodating staff. Would definitely visit again. (Discreet entrance BTW! Don't know if I would have found it if a friend didn't know it.)
Waiters & outside dining were more than pleasant. Felt the food isn’t as good as it used to be but that might just be old age talking. Changed my mind on another visit. I never complained but they corrected the the taco salad back to the way I remembered it. My parents brought us frequently to eat here. Good prices, great atmosphere, good food. No complaints from us kids. 70 years later we still like this place a lot.
