Amazingly fresh and yummy food! Some of the best sushi around and reasonably priced too. Service is friendly and efficient. Great neighborhood sushi restaurant.
I’ve been here for several years they always have fresh sushi & good appetizers. All the staffs and sushi chef are friendly & attentive they make specials upon request. Sushi bar serves appetizers & sushi only, dinning area serve regular menu & sushi.
Ok sushi but nothing really outstanding. A little overpriced for what it is.
Quality of Sushi was excellent. However, perhaps due to the Pandemic, prices have risen unreasonably and quantity or size has diminished.
I found this place on a work trip to Pasadena and just love it. Outstanding sushi and a variety of Japanese dishes. It felt just like walking into neighborhood restaurant from back when I lived in Japan. Great food, great atmosphere.
First time customer. Service was good. Food was tasty. Atmosphere was friendly.Recommendations for a better value... tempura udon would have been much better with 4 shrimp instead of 2 and a few more slices of vegetables. The sushi rolls should have less immitation crab filler with more and larger slices of fish. The menu should indicate how many pieces each roll has.This is simply a comparison and observation to other favorite sushi houses I go to.The AYCE sushi is not offered anymore. The food is not a good value for the money. Will not return!
Went there on a recommendation of a friend. Food and service were good but the prices are high for what they serve. I can get a lot more sushi for what they charge elsewhere. I wont go back.
Matsuri has been a family favorite for years - a quality family-owned restaurant. The owners are from Japan, if that’s a useful heuristic for you.Their food is always delicious, and I find their tempura in particular, is wonderfully crispy and light. We ordered the Matsuri boat, and the variety (it includes teriyaki chicken, Tonkatsu, tempura, and sushi) as well as portions are generous. I’ve also thoroughly enjoyed their homemade croquettes as well.The service is attentive, warm and polite, which explains why there are so many regulars. I always look forward to visiting, and can’t wait to go again.
Delicious fresh food. Sashimi is caught by owners every weekend. Great price for the quality and quantity of food.
Love this place. Really good fatty Torro, soft shell crab and sweet shrimp - be sure to ask for their specials.
