This is my go to place for fried chicken. Unlike Popeyes, my order is always hot, always delicious and always CORRECT. The staff are always polite. Their fries go with the chicken. Red beans and rice are good. Fish, good...I mean I have no complaints. I went to the one on Fair Oaks and the chicken taste COMPLETELY DIFFERENT. This one on Lake is the one to go to.
Went there for the first time today and I have to say I was not disappointed. Chicken had more flavor than some other places I've tried. The employees were quick with my meal, I didn't wait too long. I only got a 2 piece combo meal because I wasn't sure if I would like it but next time I'll get more chicken because after I was done I wanted some more.
The chicken is great, but the gumbo is off-the-charts! The jumbo fried shrimp are my other favorite, they're different than the regular ones. Ask for an extra cocktail sauce with them.
I have been going to this place for years now, everyone there is extremely nice and even remember what you order. They are flexible in your order so you can do things like swap fish for like chicken strips per say. Chicken is always cooked right your always a 5 min away from a great meal
Food is amazing. I live in NJ but I visit California every year. I always make sure I grab food from there when I’m in Pasadena. Chicken is very flavorful and the sides are awesome! I highly recommend this place.
They gave an amazing menu service is great the food is out of this world, you must try the cat fish nuggets

I've been coming to this chicken place for over 10 years if it wasn't for me living super far away I would come here almost every day they had great specials the chicken quality is amazing I don't like Popeyes I don't like churches because of this place they've raised the bar so high so if you're looking for good chicken and a good price they also have other things so I do recommend going there but definitely try it out
Best fried chicken on Lake Avenue! We recently ordered the Family Pac to go and it exceeded our expectations. The chicken was crispy on the outside, tender and juicy on the inside with a nice kick of Cajun spice. The sides were tasty and it turned out to be more than enough food for four adults. This place is head and shoulders above the quality of the national chain restaurants. The seafood gumbo was delicious. Once you try this place you may never want to go back to the national chains.
