We come here every week and while the price is a little high, its par for the course for good sushi.We have only had one negative experience with the staff there when we had a larger group with us which was disappointing that it was the first experience that group had of this restaurant but this was definately the exception rather than the rule. The staff is otherwise amazing and kind and the food is delicious. We will continue to make this a regular spot.

The food is decent. The staff very kind. The problem is the actual place. It’s very dirty. The whole floor feels sticky and the carpet dirty. The tables are wiped but the seats are old and torn. I guess it depends on where you sit. I’ve been coming here the last 15years. Slowly getting worst. They’ve completely forgotten to clean the restrooms now. The last three times I’ve been here I’ve seen them so dirty I don’t even want to sit my toddler down. Starbucks restrooms are cleaner. They really need to do something about this.
I have gone to 3 different Kabuki locations and this one on Colorado in Pasadena is by far the worse. I was very embarrassed that I was boasting about the food at Kabuki’s because the other locations were great. This one had terrible service. I have gone here about 3X over the past 10 years (mostly convenience) and each time was a bad experience. I will most definitely never come back and o do not recommend it to anyone. I figured over time it will have been better, nope. It was worse.The last experience was negative due to the waitress in a rush to clock out and receive her tip and payment. Our order barely came in and she was leaving and insisted on us checking out. So, we were not able to get any service after that. We couldn’t get refills on drink. What’s worse is that the place was empty. There was a couple out on the patio and a small family that came in as we finished our dinner.
Food what is delightful. Light and cooked to perfection. We had avocado roll, lovely salad and shrimp and veggie tempura. Also enjoyed the ginger and wasabi adding nice flavors to the temper. I would highly recommend. Service was also very good.
The food was good, however the kitchen service was horrific. The first guest received their meal and 45 minutes later, the last guest received their meal. The waitress came by 3 times to ask if everyone had received their meal. No one apologized or offered a discount for their poor service.
We 1st wanted to go to El Torito next door but I had heard about Kabuki and decided to Try it out. They had some of the best saki I've ever tasted. The sushi was very fresh and tasty ....amazing high quality. The servers were very friendly and quick to respond. We went there on Wednesday at around 1 PM 1/2 of the restaurant was full . Very nice and clean indoor environment.
Went for my bday dinner.. had the happy menu items .. delicious.. loved the mango ice tea
Delicious food, nice waiters, fast service and great atmosphere . Father began eating sushi at 85 and now he’s 92 . He♥️’S it .
