I was suprise when they put

server was not friendly enough, but not rude. the assistance with water and bread didnt seem well trained although appeared to be working hard. iced water should be refilled without request. outside seating needs fans to circulate air on hot days.

A superior experience. We had requested patio which they couldn't accommodate; however, got seated in a little semi private room instead. They're GF pasta choice is the best I've had. July was corkage free, which we greatly appreciated! Our server was knowledgeable and so helpful. An absolutely wonderful evening! Yum!!!

It was a pleasant dining experience.

I came with high hopes for a lovely meal but was disappointed. My husband’s steak was over cooked and too salty. The cantelope had bits of rind still attached and was not sweet at all. One of the servers spilled olive oil and balsamic vinegar onto our bread when I had just told her we did not like the oil and vinegar mixture at all. My ravioli was ok but nothing to write home about. It was a very disappointing meal all together. Likely will not be back.

The experience at Il Fornaio was as special as I hoped it would be. The menu had a variety of options for everyone in our party to choose from. The staff was welcoming and attentive. The restaurant in Pasadena has plenty of windows and it appears that anywhere you sit would be perfect. The manager also came by to help pour wine and was equally welcoming. We had the experience I hoped it would be.
