This was our first time visiting Houston's Restaurant. With reservations in place we were greeted and seated right away. We met the restaurant manager Albert Luna, he was very friendly and accommodating. He provided us with exceptional service and made sure we had an extremely pleasant dining experience. We always appreciate a manager that takes the time to come by and check in on guests. Cocktails and water glasses were always full. The grilled artichokes are a must when visiting. We ordered the Trout, Salmon and Ribeye for our entrees and I must say they were cooked to perfection! A special thanks to their amazing staff and our server. It's nice to see employees work as a family. We will definitely be returning.

We had a wonderful experience at Houston's.For starters, we were a walk in ground of three and our wait time was estimated at 30 minutes.As you are waiting they have a waitress come and take a drink order so even though you are waiting for your table, you are still getting service.Sitting with a drink next to the indoor Koi pond was something that you just don't see in a typical restaurant.We waited maybe 20 minutes before getting ushered to our table. Once we got to the table, the wait staff came by with fresh, cold cocktail glasses and poured our drinks into the new chilled glasses. This is something that I have never seen done, and I quite like it.For starters, we got the Grilled Artichoke and the Spinach and Artichoke dip (both are must haves).My dinner was the Dings Crispy Chicken Sandwich. This absolutely exceeded my expectations and I will definitely be getting that again.For desert we had the sundae which was good, but your standard desert.End of the day, I would choose to eat at Houston's over many of the options in the area.
I have been a patron of Houston’s for many many years. Their ribs are superb. But they deserve 0 stars since Albert Luna was named GM. He literally kicked us out because he wouldn’t allow 5 people comfortably seated at what he thought ought to be only a 4-top, and failed to accommodate us at the even larger table available. He was rude and refused to say who he reports to. He drowned in a glass of water, incapable of doing anything for his habitual customers whatsoever. Let me know when he has been replaced and I will be back. Too many choices to deal with someone who gets off on a power trip by kicking people out of his restaurant’s tables.
We remembered Houston's as one of our favourite restaurants when we lived in CA. So after 10+ years we returned to have a taste of our favorite dishes, to assess whether they changed or not. And if they did change, it was for the better. Fantastic service and absolutely the highest quality of food. If you chose to go there, ribs is your choice ! Pls remember that baked potatoes are served only after 5pm. Kudos to the entire team, and we certainly shall be back

Upscale restaurant in Pasadena that always has delicious food, there is another one in Santa Monica as well. Starting from amazing soups, sushi and salads to delicious burgers steaks and fish. Best french fries not be missed. Great and professional service . Atmosphere is cozy with dimmed lighting and its always a bit chili inside so do bring a jacket with you.
Ironically, it snowed in Pasadena .... something that happens once or twice every 5 years. Houston's was warm and inviting with incredible food and stiff drinks. As a Pasadena Native I suggest to all outsiders ... go away. This restaurant is ours and has been for generations.Another great time.
$222 without tip meal for 3 , two steaks, pork ribs, two salads, chilli soup, 8 dollar bread. Excellent experience , service and food, cooked to perfection steaks. Worth the 1.5 hour wait on Saturday arriving at 5:30pm. Desert was apple, walnut cobbler with vanilla ice cream. Plenty of free parking, dark interior for a romantic meal. Brandon K. This is an amazing place to come and eat, 5 stars no doubt! My girlfriend and I were looking for a place that serves artichokes in the Pasadena area and came across Houston's Restaurant through google search. When we arrived the host was very helpful and helped get us set up on the waitlist. Once we got notified that our table was almost ready we came in to check in and wait, then another host came to ask if we would like to order some cocktails while we waited, which we absolutely loved. Shortly after receiving our drinks we were walked over to our table and from the moment we were sat to the moment we received the check we received the most amazing service. Our waiter Karla was very professional and always attentive. She made our Dinner Experience very memorable, we will definitely be coming back again. The Artichokes were very delicious as well as the rest of the food and the cocktails.
One of our favorite restaurants it was our first time being back in what feels like 3 years we celebrated our birthdays ...Food amazing, Staff Friendly and restaurant just like we remembered. We left with smiles.Go and Enjoy !
