Absolutely love dining here when I’m in Pasadena. Lunch specials are always a great value and a la cart portions are generous. It’s not just your average run of the mill Chinese restaurant. The outside might look old but it’s very clean and pleasant inside, with plentiful parking in the back. They have a few dishes I don’t even find in other neighborhood Chinese restaurants, like salted fish or crab (real crab) fried rice. My favorite dish here has to be the aromatic fish.
Very good option for Chinese food in Pasadena. The staff is always friendly and the food is good quality. We've eaten there many times over the last several months and tried quite a variety from there menu.
Best Chinese food I've had in recent memory. Dynamite chicken is dyn-o-mite, really the best dish. Walnut shrimp is killer, beef with string beans awesome, Kung Pao is great.
Their prices have increased substantially as they have in so many other businesses but today I had their shrimp in garlic sauce and was surprised by how delicious the dish was. The sauce was spicy but not excessively so. The shrimp were fresh and well prepared. The green beans were crispy but not raw nor overcooked. The egg flower soup was also delicious as was the vegetable egg roll.

I sooooo wanted to like Go China. They definitely went out of their way to adjust my order. I asked for Kung Pao Mixed veggies (in place of Tofu)...looked delicious, but unfortunately was just very bland in taste. The unique taste of the sauce just did not come through like I had hoped. When I lived in Upland CA, I would order Kung Pao Mixed veggies from Lotus Garden in Upland and always tasted full of flavor. Bummed.

Wow! My wife and I love this place. Great atmosphere and service. Food is always prepared well and it’s hot, which is great.Very accommodating to food restrictions and sensitivities. Nice lunch specials. I could write more but you just have to try for yourself.
I haven't tried everything on the menu but I have tried the Walnut Shrimp and the Dynamite Chicken and those two dishes are some of the best Chinese food I have ever had. Skip the egg rolls and BBQ ribs (so-so) and get the special dishes like the ones I mentioned. Watch out this food is addicting!
