I always love going to Gaucho Grill. A truly classy place. Delicious. I recommend the Paella. And if you're there for Happy Hour you will be treated to fantastic treats and cocktails at a bargain price.
I've eaten at the Downey location multiple times and had great service and food. This time I decided to order through uber eats and my order was missing a combo item plus the chimichurri sauces. I called and called and never got an answer. All I was able to do was get a refund when I just really wanted my combo item and the sauces.I really love the restaurant food but I value professionalism and would have liked to atleast put the combo order through for pickup.
Amazing food great service grade of the arts
Great selection of food and fantastic service! Thank you
First time here in their new location it's beautiful. The food came hot, as fast as possible, and absolutely delicious. Gisela, our server made us feel at home. She was absolutely delightful, personal, and knowledgeable. A very good date night!
Great food, awesome atmosphere and the staff is exceptional!!
This is our first visit and we are impressed by their excellent service, great decor, and the best Argentinian food in town. We came here for their dine LA menu. The empanadas were so tasty. I got the entrana and the skirt steak was so juicy and tender. It came with slices provenzal potatoes and they were so good. The New York steak was good as well. For dessert, we got the flan and it was good too. We will definitely return again very soon.
Went for Happy Hour with a friend. Food and drinks were really good but they lose stars when it came to service. My friend and I waited 10-15 minutes until I asked the hostess where we were meant to order because no one had bothered to introduce themselves as our server. The hostess ended up taking care of us and she was the best but honestly don't know who was actually meant to help us. It definitely felt like we weren't being taken seriously as paying customers. My friend also had a bug in her drink which was promptly taken care of by the hostess. I understand that restaurants are short staffed right now but many of the tables around us did not seem to have any issues even though they arrived after us. We tipped the hostess directly and I hope she has better support from the wait staff in the future.
Reason for visiting: going away lunch with my coworkersDate/time of visit: Tuesday afternoon, ~12:30 PMParking: in the attached parking structure; freeParty size: 8Environment/ambience: pretty chill. No TVs around. Not too busy when we got there. We made reservations since there were 8 of us.Service: very good. He came around often and was very friendly and sociable.Food: I tried the following: the empanadas (short rib and al pastor), one ultimate parrillada, one meat parrillada, and an old fashioned. The sides we chose: sauteed mushrooms, fries, potatoes, and salad. All was great. The bread and dip they offer was great too. All the meat was cooked properly, not too salty or lacking flavor.Cost: ~$650 for 8 people, including tip
Argentina is surging up the travel bucket lists for young and old alike. Whether you’re lured by the romance of cosmopolitan city life or in search of legendary steak, the Gaucho Grill has platefuls of charm to suit every taste. The way to Argentina’s heart is through its asado, or barbecue, also known as parrillada. A visit to this amazing restaurant is a must spending a leisurely afternoon or evening with family and friends feasting on copious grilled meats. This is the national dish, originating from the country’s gauchos, or cowboys, who would subsist on the abundant cows dotting the country’s plains. Expect to find beef, pork, ribs, sausages, blood sausages and sweetbreads hot off the fire. Lightly salted, topped with chimichurri and paired with malbec – this is Argentina.I had called several hours prior to make reservations for 4. The hostess that answered the phone was very pleasant to speak with and placed my reservation. When we arrived, the hostess was very welcoming. At first glance the restaurant was filled with laughter and fun from other guests. The different arromes from dishes was exhilarating, I could not wait to be seated another moment. We were escorted to our table closer to the kitchen. The booth table was very comfortable and sat 4 guest perfectly. Our waiter came over and explained how the menu works and some staff favorites. We quickly place couple of appetizer orders while still deciding on the entrée. Gus the restaurant manager came over to introduce himself and gave a quick history of restaurant. By the time we placed our entrée orders, the appetizers came out.The tables entrée were all brought out same time look absolutely delicious. I ordered the tomahawk steak and no words can describe how good my steak was cooked except for the best steak I have ever had.The staff and managers made everyone on the table feel like all of us were VIP as I am sure they do the same for other tables. I highly recommend a visit to Gaucho Grill, you will not regret it.
