I love coming to this place! I always leave with a smile on my face.
Poor service, food was cold, the food tasted old. Expensive for what we got out of it. I was very dissatisfied. Staff had bad disposition to serve your needs. The coffe was good, very good.
It had been a while since we came to an El Torito, so I had forgotten how good the food was. The fajitas as well as the tacos were excellent. Service was good. However, this location seems to be a bit plain looking compared to what I remember other branches to have been in the past. It could use some wall decorations.
My mother birthday
Quiet date night over flautas and a strawberry margarita. Kind staff. Newly renovated grounds. The bull is new to me...probably installed during quarantine. Fun juxtaposition.
It was our anniversary and we waited an hour for our food. When we asked about our food it magically arrived. The food seemed old and that it had been under a heat lamp for awhile.
SO good. Hit the spot for Mexican food cravings. Loved that the menu wasn't packed with options. Just enough choices to perfect each plate. The complimentary chips and salsa were near perfection. The chips are so crisp that there ends up being a lot of broken small bits. Not a bad issue to have though. The salsa was spicy but not too spicy. Portions were generous. Our server was super sweet and attentive. I would have liked to have more Mexican food options on the kids menu. The table made guacamole is what brought us in and it didn't disappoint either.We lived in Pasadena for years and never tried here. Now that we've moved and tried it we are kicking ourselves for not checking it out sooner.The establishment was clean and inviting. Scoped out a few tables with micheladas. Definitely will be back and going to try one of those!
My cousin invited us to enjoy some margaritas on a Wednesday night. There were seven of us and we waited and waited for a table. There were plenty of tables that were empty but we still had to wait. There's something about the interior that needs a better atmosphere. After sitting down we ordered a variety of margaritas which turned out to be pretty good but weren't strong enough to get a buzz. Our waiter was very friendly and had a super nice attitude.
Our experience had a few minor issues from the start but we were willing to make the best of it but it wasn’t until we had ordered our food and received our order minus one plate and it was about 10 min later that another waitress came and said they were out of that item what else did we want ? Then we had to wait another 10 min for the new plate, mind you we were not going to eat unless we were all together . We finally decided to talk to a manager which took him another 10 min to get to us and his response was not understanding or customer friendly he said “so what do u want?” It’s not what do we want ? We wanted a good experience . He said he’s be back with a resolution which we still had not Touched our food and he did not come Back we had to tell our waitress and he basically didn’t believe us and didn’t want to deal with our issues. Our waitress was really friendly and understanding but the manager and the lack of communication here is terrible. It’s really unfortunate our experience was not better .
For such a busy night it was excellent. Food is always great!
