Hainan Dark meat w extra green sauce

This is my first time at this location. I had a plate of dark meat Hainan Chicken which is their most popular dish. Off of the bat the seating was small and they have 2 dedicated hard workers at your service. We dined in and the service was fast. The best way to eat hainan chicken is to mix it with the orange and green sauce. I love it! Prices is reasonable

Ordered takeout from their website and picked up the food in like 15 minutes on a 2pm on Saturday. The chicken was very soft and juicy and the rice flavored great. The portion is huge- I took a picture and there are like 2 layers of chicken. Parking in the back is tight but they have 2 designated spots which were both free when I arrived. Would definitely go back!

I have somewhat embarrassingly never had Hainanese chicken before coming here, but the first time I tried it, I immediately felt like it was something I had grown up with. Delicious comfort food that’s perfect for when you want something mellow but satisfying.

This is the best Hainan Chicken Rice I have experienced in LA. Great price, portion size, and authentic flavour of both the chicken and the rice. Doesn’t get any better than this!

Arrived off hours at 2p, surely excellent wait time of 0 minutes. Ordered the signature dish in dark meat. Arrived warm and ready to eat. Great deal with soup and sauces. Adjusted for pandemic packaging (tree hugger please look away), great presentation for the price. It is boneless unlike the Alhambra "original" place of different name. The chicken meat carries good amount of flavor, mild as Hanan should be. The ginger sauces in two flavors, red with a bit of spice, very mild again, the expected salty ginger oil with a good mix of what I think is the Thai spicy sauce blended with a bit of Sriracha hot sauce and a touch of vinegar. But I preferred the general salty ginger green onion oil thing. I want it saltier or more green in my preference. The green generally carries the salty taste. The rice is not oily. Most places do make it oily. Can't give too much judgement on that since every bite was covered in the ginger oil sauce.. but it was cooked right with the good texture. Soup was warm- this one a bit generic. But ok, good deal. Not much to say about the environment, nothing fancy. The store front faces the south with lots of Sun, I bet it would be hot in the summer. Service was adequate, given the hour of the visit, one page menu, and the short visit, not much to add.

Delicious hainanese chicken and sides at reasonable prices. Love their string beans and peanuts with just the right amount of garlic and spice. Make sure to dip the chicken across all three sauces for the best tasting experience.

Cluck2Go is a favorite takeout spot of ours both pre- and current pandemic times! This hole in the wall place, decorated with various chicken-themed details (my favorite is the chicken clock near the kitchen), serves a delicious and comfort-food Hainan chicken. When comparing to Savoy Kitchen, Cluck2Go has a more mild and comforting style of Hainan chicken that is less fatty and more subtle in flavor, something I prefer most days.GETTING THERE / ORDERING:This location has street parking right in front of the small shop, which makes it easy to hop off and pick up our takeout orders. Our experience of calling in orders or ordering online is both easy and your order is done within 10-15 minutes generally.FOOD:We usually keep to the basics and stick with the DARK MEAT ONLY HAINAN CHICKEN WITH RICE, which is served with a ginger oil sauce and a sweet-spicy (but not that spicy) orange sauce, with fragrant soy sauced chicken rice and a bowl of chicken broth with green onion pieces in it. It also comes with a side of pickled veggies as a palate cleanser between your mouthfuls of chicken and rice. Lovely for cooler weather! If you're more in the mood for a FRIED HAINAN CHICKEN RICE (which we don't often see!) they have that as well, the batter is lightly applied and does not feel heavy in the stomach which is always great when ordering fried food. For dessert / something sweet, the DEEP FRIED CHINESE STEAMED BUNS are excellent, not too sweet, crisp and browned on the outside which when crunched through to the middle, soft and slightly sweet on the inside, served with a side of condensed milk to dip these in. So easy to devour many in one sitting.COVID PRECAUTIONS:There's a generous bottle of sanitizer near the front, the tables inside are spaced out well, there are social distance markings on the floor, and the cashier is separated by a plastic divider. We always felt safe picking up food from here.Wonderful place that we'll keep returning to and recommending to friends as a neighborhood Hainan chicken gem!

Ordered Combo A with dark meat and totally worth it!Meat was juicy and flavorful. Both red and green ginger sauces paired nicely. Rice was consistently seasoned.I prefer cucumber salad to be spicier and more sour but at least they were crunchy.Excited to order again!

Ginormous portion! I mean, compared to other Hainan chicken places in the 626, they def gave a lot more! Speaking of the chicken, it was so tender and succulent. Both green and orange sauces were good, they were not 100% the traditional ones, but overall tasty. Chicken flavored rice was flavorful too, but I just wish they could give us the (heated) soy sauce for rice. I feel like without that, it was something missing. All in all, a good place for Hainan chicken. I recommend this place.
