Been here a few times already, and every time I go with the thought of getting something different, but I always get the sea bass. It is really good. Really like it with the cajon seasoning. The dynamite fries are pretty good too. But I have to admit that the kaleslaw is very tasty. And that means a lot coming from a devote carnivore like myself.Highly recommend!
My 1st time there was back in February. It was a very good experience. The lady who waited on me was very courteous, and nice she was an African American very professional. I went back twice since, and the food was good, however I was waited on by a older man and old Hispanic women, both were not very friendly, and the women charged me for something I didn't order, I didn't discover it until I went home with my two meals. The old man did not include any tartar sauce, slice of lemons or vinegar packets. As I had order the Fish and Chips, I had to asked him if there was any with my food he said, no!I just have to say he's not aware that it should just be included, unless the customer specifically asked not to add any of those items!I recommend the food, the service can be a little iffy.
Came here for a late dinner and got their Battered Fish and Chips dinner with tatar sauce and it was delicious! The thick fish pieces were crispy but not overly battered The chips were perfectly crispy but soft on the inside. Can't wait to come back to try their grilled salmon. Friendly service and free parking in lot.
Their fries are good. I got the pineapple matcha juice which was pretty good too.The rockfish was perfectly done and the fish and chips were huge!Note: leave your tray and dishes at the table.
The cajun shrimp tacos are delicious. Even without the dynamite sauce their still spicy so watch out. The food is good but the service is spectacular. I went with my baby and Brittany came to the patio and offered to bring my food to me so I wouldn't have to go back and forth. She got everything I wanted so graciously. Extra napkins, salt, pepper, the mild salsa. Brittany is a gem. Made dining with a baby so pleasant. I'm so grateful!
We waited at least 20 min to get our take out order. I wanted to try something new, as I usually get grilled food from these types of fast restaurants. I got the fried shrimp, brussels and fries. We live maybe 7 min away. The fries were dry and ice cold, the shrimp was cold and soggy. Not crunchy at all, but the Brussels were okay. A generous portion of food- but I definitely wouldn’t want to get those items again. Was looking forward to a good dinner. Not tonight.
I'm pretty picky with my seafood. This is my 2nd time this week at California Fish Grill. I'm from New England and used to good fish. I had catfish the 1st time and sea bass the 2nd time. Both were excellent! So were the sides. This was not expected for a fast food restaurant. Will be checking out locations closer to my home in Southern California.
This restaurant having amazing fresh seafood like their Ali tuna poke incredible good and also their fish n chips. Their side are great like the roast street corn and the bussel spout.
I want to give them 4 stars, but service was a problem. Food is fresh and tastes good, but took extra 10 minutes for my fried shrimp tacos (which they acknowledged) but they forgot the shrimp on the shrimp salad. The order was to-go, so we didn't get a chance to see how they would fix the missing shrimp. Good enough to try again.
We were delighted on how fresh everything were! The fish and chips, the fried catfish, and Cajun shrimp taco were perfectly cooked and tasty! The sides complimented the main course. The services was fast. The staff were attentive and friendly. We definitely will come back to try more of their menu!
