I've been passing the new Pasadena shop lately, but I hadn't made it in yet. My friend got me an assortment of their cream puffs for my birthday, and they were delicious. Light, fluffy, and definitely a dessert but not sickeningly sweet. So far ranking the creme brulee #1, but I'll be back to try more flavors.
So happy to see Beard Papa’s in Pasadena again. The staff are very friendly and recommended me to try churro shell and horchata filling and it was amazing!
This location is amazing, and the staff were very patient with me and my son explaining about puffs we never saw before at nearby stores, such as churro, green tea, and strawberry puffs. My son’s favorite was the churro puff with horchata filling, and mine was green tea puff with green tea filling.They have Buy 5 get 1 free all the time. Their loyalty card can be used in the West LA Sawtelle store too: get a punch for every 6 puffs and after 10 punches you get a box of 6 puffs for free, great deal if you are a big fan of cream puffs. Definitely don’t mind driving a bit more to this location for more options, discounts and good service.
Nothing compared to French or German bakeries. The cream puffs look very sloppy made.

Hey guys! The chain that everybody knows, with the perfectly light and fluffy and not too sweet cream filling is here in Pasadena! I ordered the churro, the chocolate, plane, one Oreo, and one green tea. The choices of filling were green tea, horchata, chocolate, and vanilla. It's exactly the way I remember the first time I tried it and there's a line out the door! Welcome to Pasadena Beard Papa!
