Last night on SaturdayI had my worst experience , might be due to the new management. Completely dissatisfied with the service…wait time is more than usual. They are understaffed and I liked the old service better. They used to be quick and the staff were very warm welcoming. I come here frequently with my family and I don’t think I want to anymore.
Best place to go with family with affordable price with very near distance than Artesia !!!We ordered almost all items starting from starters and ended up nicely with dessert - gulab jamun and rasamalai..Chilli chicken was very good with perfect amount of sauce..Masala dosa was very good with crispy texture and the masala was the best I bet with chutney and Sambhar !!!The Naan was very soft and my 1 year old had it nicely .. we had Annapurna Chicken curry which is the iconic item from that place and it’s really good where it suits all of ages taste .. The over all service is really good and appreciable ..Since we went for lunch, we ordered few for dinner such as chicken kothu parotta, Gobi Manchuria , Panner tikka masala and the packing service was really neat and good without any leakage ..Biryani is a must try !!!Kudos to the entire team !!!
Seems like they are under new management. Food taste have been changed. Annapurna used to be my favorite place, I always go there with my whole family twice or thrice in a month. But yesterday I didn’t like the food at all. All the dosa that we ordered were so greasy, like they put ghee into it. Naan and uttapam were so chewy. Their lassi tastes like mango juice. They are using cracked crockeries. I don’t think I will come again here.
It pains me to give this place three stars because their food is so unbelievably delicious. We've tried about 10 different Indian restaurants in the area and this one always wins. But, the service is horrendous. The staff is so rude, the service is slow, and it just makes me not want to give them my money.... We thought maybe it was a covid thing but now two years later it's still the same issue. I really hope they can get it together
Be cautious about take out/delivery from this place! Ordered lunch for delivery and went directly to the store to pick up dinner and both the times they forgot part of my order - for lunch they forgot Lassi and for dinner I ordered two plates of idly vada and got only one. I thought miss out in the lunch order was a mistake and didn’t expect that to happen when I directly went to get my dinner. My bad, I shouldn’t have trusted these folks. Looks like they intentionally miss part of your order and take your money. I’ll never go to this place again
The food is excellent, there’s no question about that. The problem with this location (the one in Culver City didn’t have this problem) is phone/online ordering. They will quote you a time, which I think most restaurants will generally overestimate, and this is now the third time they haven’t been close. The other problem is they continue telling you it will be 5 minutes. I’m currently now at 1:15 on a 40-minute estimate with no end in sight. There is a rotating cast of about 5 people with the same problem. They also seem unabashedly unapologetic. Just keep this in mind. Great food, though!
I can't think of a time I've been treated worse than here. I put in an online order at 6pm for 6:30pm pickup. I arrived on time and gave them my name. Multiple people who had been waiting for food kept asking them for updates because they had been waiting for a long time, and the staff literally just ignored them and walked away. Everyone was getting really angry. People were literally just saying "Stop ignoring me!". Someone new would come in and show them their phone for an order pickup, and the staff would look at the phone and then just ignore them without saying anything (or "Wait there" at most).Because restaurants are having a hard time, I tried to be really patient and not show my frustration. After 30 minutes I very politely requested an ETA, but they just said I had to wait longer and that they needed to serve their dine-in clients (only three tables). By 7:15 pm I still didn't have my food and they wouldn't say how long. I then told them multiple times I just wanted a refund, but they ignored me. They finally came out with my food and I left livid. When I got back, I found that even though the receipt outside the bag was correct and itemized (and only a two-person order), my order was missing items.
This place is a disaster. They have delicious food but they are under-staffed. Under-staffed becomes a larger problem when the already working staff gets frustrated and starts to get furious on the customers. The staff is super rude and does not know how to handle customers. Whenever we have placed an order over the phone, we had to wait at least 15 mins at the restaurant to pick up. Well, this totally diminishes our purpose of ordering over a phone is to NOT WAIT. Well, next time I tried to be clever. I ordered 20 mins earlier than before, well to my astonishment, I was again made wait for 15 mins. I guess, the chef starts preparing the order for pick ups when the customer arrives at the restaurant.Hope this review helps.
Not at all good food , the idli and dosa were chewy. We ordered mysore masala dosa which did not taste anything like that. We have had food from Chennai Tiffins in San Diego which is so good , and in comparison to that this was just so bad. Food got wasted !!
Manager does not have minimum ethics or no ethics at all.. They live like they are serving on the street side in India, or have any basic hospitality. Very careless and arrogant. Please make sure not to give any respect to front management in their restaurant, I am sure the restaurant is only running because of the Chef's hard work making tasty food, that too is not always the same though.
