Amazing hot cocoa, churros, a warm croissant, it’s hard to go wrong. I come here early in the mornings. My only complaint is that I wish they would stay open into the evening, at least seasonally (fall and winter)-it would be a great opportunity to read a book, journal and drink chocolate on a cold winter evening inside with a sweater. Starbucks and copa vida don’t have the hot cocoa like these guys do so owner, please make this possible one day!!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Best quality drinking chocolate in my lifetime. Rich, not overly sweet or heavy. No food come after. Amara and her husband are gems and often working hard there themselves. Staff is thoughtful and remembers you. More seating outside now, this place is always busy, but fast. Try the slightly spicy mocha drinks hot or cold and you'll be hooked. Don't get me started on the Venezuelan food, simple and highest quality ingredients, just order a plate at a time with a friend from the top of the menu down (huge portions!) and try it all.
My friend and I had a great experience at Amara. The arepas were delicious and they had great vegan options as well. The food has a perfect balance of sweet/salty/fatty/fresh and is made with perfect attention to detail. Cappuccino and juice options were also very good. The staff were so friendly and would stop to chat despite a very busy lunch rush. I will definitely be coming back next time I’m in the LA area.

I took my fiancé here for a birthday brunch. We both LOVED IT! There were so many items to choose from, it was hard to pick one. We enjoyed their variety of hot chocolates. It's such a cute little spot with incredible food. It was our first time visiting, but we'll definitely be back. Each bite is so savory that you want to take your time eating.
I adore this place.. just wish they were open a little later! Food and Coffee at very good pricing. Churros and desserts.. an absolute always when I am in Pasadena!

This place is absolutely amazing! The staff is great, food is very flavorful and authentic and made with love! Plenty of gluten free options, vegetarian, vegan and much more! Their chocolate drinks and coffee are just out of this world! My family and I can not wait to go back to try pretty much everything on the menu haha. Absolutely recommend ?
This was a one-off visit...I pass by here regularly and decided to give it a try. Upside: the variety of chocolate coffees and the likes is fairly large. The downside: the menu is confusing and the food isn't as straight forward to understand.Quality is a solid B+
