The patio was perfect for a lunch gathering and the service was very good! It was a treat to be at the Raymond!
We were seated in the back patio near the kitchen the door was open and we could hear the dishes clanking and staff talking! For a two hundred dollar a more relaxing experience. If we return I will insist on a table in the front patio or the side patio we saw as we left. ! Also, I order shrimp scampi it was more a marinara pasta with small pieces of shrimp! The Sea bass was lost in the black rice.
The food and service was outstanding. There were 3 in our party and each person ordered a different dish. My short rib was the best I have EVER had!! The sea bass and scampi dishes were deliciously over the top! They have three outdoor patios with garden atmosphere and ambiance. Great restaurant!
Trout dish on bed of soggy vegetables. Short ribs lacked flavor. Servers seemed confused as to when to remove empty plates before main dish arrived. Seemed out of sync. When main dishes arrived, empty salad / appetizer plates were still on table, causing an awkward exchange of plates.
This was one of the best meals ever, including the mixed drinks. Wonderful Old Fashioned cocktail, perfect salads, a waiter who was delightful, helpful, and attentive, perfectly cooked food, phenomenal desserts. Just couldn't have been better.
The restaurant seemed slammed. We were there for dinner and were given Brunch menus -- twice. It took a VERY looong time for someone to take our order. The food was good (as always) but the evening was marred by the fact that there was a table of 10 young women celebrating something seated right by us. Sometimes we could barely hear each other. I've always had a good experience at the Raymond, so this was rather disappointing.
Very nice brunch but having people at the next table with two dogs a bit of a turn off. Is that even legal and why not sit them outside?
Really enjoy dining in the patio. Not fond of inside seating.
