Salmon is fresh and tastes good. Been here several times and the quality of food is consistently good. The dessert is especially delicious.
I had ramen. The broth was very nice but overall there weren't the toppings I was hoping for like an egg. You also don't really have a server to ask questions, you order from a tablet. Overall I would not recommend this place for ramen, compared to a ramen specialty restaurant.
Neat concept with everything including the tip included. Order from the table's tablet and the food is whisked out. The meal portions are sizeable and appetizers can pose too much food. Friendly service and great tasting food.Update: Tip is no longer included in the price of the meal. Don't forget to leave a tip!!!
Nice Japanese chain restaurant in Palo Alto. Reasonable price. Great service.
So we never have been to a restaurant where you order by monitor...lol. I think we're too old school and this would be the reason we gave 4 stars instead of 5. Food was delicious and presentation was pretty. Prices were reasonable but their menu limited. Udon was REALLY GOOD...NOODLES IN UDON WAS DA BOMB!! Salmon was fresh and overall food was delicious. We didn't see the staff that much, they pretty much stay in kitchen to get food ready from what people order on the monitor. But when they did come out to give us our food they were very friendly.
Food taste good overall, tho I’ve tasted better. For me personally, the gyoza made the visit worth it. ??
Came here the other day and it was quite a decent experience. The prices are definitely expensive for the quality and amount of food you get, but the food is good.(+) "Fun" process of ordering from a tablet at your table.(+) Very nice decor and the restaurant is fancy.(+) Miso katsu - sauce is delicious, katsu is nice(+) Mix toji - good, you get one ebi though, but a decent amount of beef and katsu.(+) Free Gohan refill. Very much appreciated with how good the sauce is.(+) Some alcohol options are available.(-) We also ordered a medium side of curry but it never came even though it was marked as fulfilled. Then we asked about it twice, the first time they ignored it and never followed up, then they said they delivered it to another table. Whoopsies. We just had them take it off the bill but it would have been nice to try.Overall, pretty good but expensive.
Prices have gone up recently and many dishes unavailable/ dropped in quality. I guess for simple fast food this place is fine but I can’t recommend. Also, they started accepting tips at checkout despite previous statements regarding being a tip free restaurant. Tipping very disrespectful for Japanese culture.Limited vegetarian options, better luck at many nearby restaurants. I will say staff is friendly and helpful!
Price jumped quite a lot recently, and the quality dropped. Also they started to ask for tips. They previously said they compensate employee well and don’t need customer to tip, and tipping is also disrespectful in Japanese culture. lol
Steamy delicious soup for ramen or tonkatsu. Probably one of largest indoor seatings in Palo Alto area. Serving time is fairly quick and appetizers are just as good as the main ramen dishes.
