I visited the Palo Alto location: Restaurant was clean, nice music. There was a bar in the back. Bathrooms were clean as smelled good. We werent very hungry but wanted to try the food out so we ordered 2 kids meals with the Smahlburger. Let me tell you that was a full size burger, seasoned perfectly and juicy. Fries were hot and fresh. Would definitely go again and try a salad or specialty burger.
Wahlburgers isn't even a restuarant of craving anymore, it's just an existing option within the downtown Palo Alto area as a potential, last resort option to save some money. The quality of the burger is different and the special sauce isn't exactly comparable to In N Out famously. Therefore, I would recommend other menu options like the all beef pearl hot dog or the grilled cheese sandwich. If I'm in the area and don't necessarily have the funds to splurge on a meal that will likely pinch me, this is one of the few spots that just screams mediocre.
We should have realized there was a problem when we walked in and the place was empty. I ordered the fish sandwich and it was burnt. One fillet was so burnt it was inedible. I also got the fried pickles which were also super burnt to the point that the pickles practically disintegrated. The shoestring onion rings were pretty good though. The restaurant itself was dirty, the floor was so sticky that my shoe actually came off my foot. I spent my meal staring out the window wishing I'd gone to the Sushi place across the street. So disappointed ☹️
It's not the top option for me in Palo Alto downtown that offers way better food. This huge space is 99% of the time empty. It has made this corner of the University Ave in Palo Alto Downtown very dead and inactive looking. Can't wait till another restaurant that is relevant to this beautiful downtown food culture replaces this mediocre one. Sorry, it didn't work out guys, but maybe you can get creative and make some changes. Good luck.
Good juicy burger but just a bit beefy.Restaurant was nice and clean. Friendly Staff.
First time here. Restaurant was nice and clean. Staff was ok. I thought they'd be a bit more friendly, but...it won't stop me from returning. I loved my Jane burger!
It's disappointing considering it's carrying Mark Wahlberg's family name. The place didn't have a good ambience and it's average.
First time trying Wahlburgers. After seeing the reality show of the Wahlburgs and seeing how this chain came into fruition.I always wanted to try it. I really wanted to like it, but it’s quite disappointing bland expansive burger. Wendy’s beats this place in flavor and burger size. Wendy’s Dave’s burger definitely knows where the beef is!We are in the middle of Palo Alto’s busiest street on university on Saturday with other stores across with lines and packed customers. We are the only ones In here. I really want to like this place but cool swanky decor and celebrity status burgers can only go so far. I don’t mint paying $13 for a double patty burger, but it was bland and disappointing
This was my first visit to Wahlburgers, and it was fantastic! The people were nice, and the food was delicious. I ordered the fiesta burger, which was cooked perfectly. The onion strings are fresh and crunchy. Highly recommend this place!
It was open during the holidays, during CoVID and the burger was brown on one side and not the other and the other burger was pink inside. The cheese-tots things were not great either which is hard to mess up. Perhaps it is a good bar at night
