Recently reopened after the original owner retired, they offer a solid selection. I went at lunch hour and tried their General Tso's Chicken. As a special it came with sweet and sour soup, a spring roll and choice of white or pork fried rice. Overall it was good and reasonably priced. In the pork fried rice, they used cured ham, which was ok but did not add the fresh pork flavor that I amused to. Service was courteous, attentive and prompt. Complementary pot of hot green tea was a nice touch. Will go back in the next day or so given that is within walking distance of the hotel.
The menu and service were beyond our expectations. I truly enjoyed the atmosphere of this restaurant. Nice place to take my family out for lunch.
Excellent Shanghai soup dumplings, hot & sour soup and mushi pork (with real super thin rice pancakes). Worth a trip or for very tasty takeout!
The restaurant was unprepared for customers and only allowed cash payment when I arrived. I expect this to only be temporary, but there are only a few customers during dinner time, indicating that it may not be popular. The food was average.
Great environment and very friendly service. The menu was crisp and yummy. Will clearly recommend this place to my friends. Reasonable prices and generous portions. Good job.
Did a takeout order for a group of 30 people or so and people loved the food. Not cheap but not too expensive either.
One of my favorite Chinese restaurants in the Bay area, unfortunately tonight was the last night it was opened. After 42 years the owner has decided to retire.
Supposed to be home style food and I can do better at home. Disappointed.
Came here with some family friends on a weekend! I’ve come here a good amount growing up and I haven’t found it to be the most kind blowing experience I’ve had but it is a decent Chinese food place!
We ordered pork kidney, hot & sour soup, cheese puffs (crab rangoon), and cold tofu with century egg. Everything was d-e-l-i-c-i-o-u-s. Service was lightning fast, the waitress was nice and very attentive~ A gem of a find in Palo Alto.
