What fabulous ice cream! Super nice owners, allowed multiple samples - each sample was so scrumptious, I had trouble trying to make up my mind! Finally decided on Espresso Toffee Crunch in a freshly made waffle cone. Yummmmmmy! Can’t wait to go back and try other flavors!
Ice cream is good. We tried mango peach sorbet and green tea flavors. Both were good but price is really expensive. $10 for 1 scoop.
Micro servings, micro service, micro flavor. Just wait in line at Salt and Straw down the street. Their line may look long but it moves faster that Scoop’s.
At first it sounds promising. But didn't really like the ice creams there. Being a creamery I expected the ice creams would be creamy and flavorful. I tried Ube and Baby coconut. They both didn't taste as natural flavors. But would try it out once more to make sure I didn't visit them on a bad day.
Solid little ice cream shop on university - came after a dinner and got our ice cream in minutes - definitely an easy in easy out and I liked the Speculicious flavor a lot! Very tasty and unique. It is kind of expensive for the size of scoop you get.
Its'just basic ice cream now, not really worth the price. Used to be better. Pistachio today was with very limited nuts, primarily a vanilla that tasted as if it had almond extract blended into it. The line for Salt and Straw, whose ice cream I find to be a bit too sweet in taste but can have more interesting flavors by the way, was very long, and so I went to Scoop. I'm a Tin Pot type of person, but sometimes go to Scoop or Salt and Straw if I am downtown.
We hired Scoop for our son's birthday party in a park and it was a big hit with children and adults alike: delicious ice cream, fun toppings and freshly baked waffles. Ben (the new owner) and his colleague did a wonderful job setting up a table, making it look festive and serving with enthusiasm. Highly recommend - especially for larger groups. We will do this again :)
Best I’ve cream I’ve ever had (along with Graters in Kentucky?). I’m just mourning the fact that there isn’t one in my home state of Utah. Scoop, will you please open shop in Utah?
Place is on University Ave so parking is around a few blocks wherever you can find one. They have a few spots to sit outside or you can go across the street. They rotate their flavors and have a few unique ones. Depending on the flavor you may love it or be ok with it. Some of them are very delicate like almond and others are very prominent like mango. They have a good balance of sweet. As you enter make your way all the way back and move up to the cashier, line starts from back. I felt it is on the expensive side, a shake for $11.50 and two scoops for $7.50. Orders where made to order but interaction with the staff could be better.
We tried hella Nutella, Thai tea, and vanilla bourbon. The first two were spot on and creamy but the latter was watery instead of creamy, it had crystals. My waffle code also was broken by the point I started eating it. We will give it another try in hopes our experience was a fluke.
