This ice cream shop is no mere ice cream shop. The flavors are very inventive, so flavorful, and such a treat! I love the pear and blue cheese, as well as the olive oil ice cream, and I just picked up a pint of their limited edition boysenberry oat milk.
Long lines, but with good reason! I’ve tried Salt & Straw in LA and San Diego, they always have good quality ingredients with ice cream flavors so unique and decadent.I love that they give free samples before you commit since some flavors are quite odd. I got the brownie chocolate and coffee both great!
Undoubtedly the best icecream I have had in the US. I was a huge fan of Jeni’s before, but now I have a clear new favourite. They just encourage to taste as many flavours as possible and then decide on the icecream! They apparently offer special flavours every month along with the regulars, and god they are so delicious! Must try if you are in and around SF/Stanford region.
Be forewarned: there will be a line when you get there. Now that that is out of the way, the ice cream is phenomenal. The service is fast and efficient and the flavors are top notch. This place will have you coming back again and again. And after the first bite, you will understand the hype and the lines. It’s worth it.
Unique flavor ice cream that taste so yummy. Their single scoop is big. Waffle cone is freshly made.Flavor I got is Baked Brie and Fig Cheesecake from summer picnic series.
Always recommended to order ahead online and given their rotating menu, you'll continue to come back! From flower series to crumbles pies, they'll never disappoint! Thank you for also supplying my pups with homemade whipped cream!
Standing in this cool and hip place that sells ice cream. Ice cream which is a very favorite treat for kids. It’s 10:30pm and there is a single person in line with a 5 year old kid. I don’t know this person but she is the only one with a child. And the child is clearly determined to have ice cream. I walk up to a manager and ask them if they can let these nice people with children go without the line. And no they can’t do that. Furthermore they don’t care that there is a single person with children in line and this wonderful ice cream place just doesn’t want to do the right thing and let them go without waiting in line. Great job !
We were not impressed. For the long line the ice cream was nice but mint was not very minty for our parties taste. It was pretty unanimous that everyone agreed tin pot ice cream had more flavor. All the kids got waffle cones and quickly down them.Given the choice we would probably go to tin pot first.
We have tried ice cream from here several times. I liked their coffee variation the best. Strawberry with black pepper sounds awful but it was surprisingly so yummy. Sure, some flavors sound weird but mostly they are fun. If you don’t like a flavor, it’s not cuz they are bad, it’s probably not your cup of ice cream ;) Try again and I am sure you will love something else.
Normally on Saturdays this place would be crowded to an absurd degree... Which is a given by its reputation. However if one stops by after a brunch or late breakfast from 10:30 to 11:30, there won't be much of a wait line if at all! That said, my rating was indeed affected by my expectations hearing that this store's ice cream is 'the best'.I should've taken it with a grain of salt? Haha. That said, it was good, but not much more than good. Perhaps if one was an ice cream connoisseur they'd give a more in depth assessment but from what I can garner this place isn't worth a wait line above 10 minutes which it would normally have
