This unassuming spot is amazing for us NYC transplants. My born-in-new york husband said his BEC on everything was “actually not bad” which is about the highest compliment he can give. Tons of cheese, bagel was perfectly toasted, just delicious.
We took a few bagels to go and the guy at the counter told us to get the jalapeño cream cheese and that’s it’s great. We bought it and came home, only to realise on opening the box that there was a thick yucky layer of moss all over the cream cheese. We called to complain but nobody picked up. Horrible experience
Classic spot. Just moved here and HAD to find a Lox/Bagel place near by. So excited to see this NY style shop. Owner is very kind. Great portion of lox on the bagel. Perfectly toasted. Ate it fresh right outside. So happy to find a New York style deli in the neighborhood!
Bacon, egg and cheese bagel was decent, but it was very salty. But, that isn't the reason for this review. Im not sure how they are operating still. This place was VERY dirty. The lady at the register pressed the buttons, touched cash and other misc. objects and then made my bagel without ever washing her hands. The man used dirty pans that were stacked on top of eachother to make my bacon and eggs, and he also never washed his hands once after handling multiple objects. I would be cautious when going here if you are someone whom is concerned with cleanliness and how your food is handled.
His breakfast bagel sandwich will forever change the way you look at egg & cheese bagels. Truly the best in the world and even after moving away from Palo Alto 5 years ago, I think about them regularly.Worth taking a trip from wherever you are in the Bay Area to get one.

Nice staff, highly over priced for a greasy egg and cheese bagel. Also a small water bottle costs $2.50…

Bagel Sandwiches are delicious. Bagel themselves are fantastic and fresh with yummy egg and meat on top. Better quality cheese is what would bump this place up to 5 stars
First time going here, we absolutely loved it!!! The bagels/ cream cheeses are so good. The shop owner is the nicest man, he hand makes everything right in front of you. I got the turkey, jalapeño cream cheese and cucumber sandwich on a garlic bagel and my fiancé got the chicken BLT. Huge slides of meat on both sandwiches, and on the BLT, the avocado was free!! We will definitely come back!!
