Mademoiselle Collette is one of my favorite bakeries in the entire Bay Area. Everything is so fresh and beatifuly baked. Right amount of sweetness. Fresh ingredients. The almond crossaint is to die for. Coffee is amazingly good.

I been eating the wrong croissants all this time. I tried their Almond croissant and fell in love immediately. I mean each bite is just insanely good. Please try the Original Kouign Amann.

I am so happy that i chose this place after calling few bakery near stanford university to send my son Cake, coffee , almond croissant and avacado toast on his birthday!!! We ordered Entremet au Chocolat for my birthday. However, it turned out that they got the order wrong somehow and instead baked Valentine’s Day Cake for us!!I would got angry if I had an allergy for raspberry, but nope. I am happy that sometimes people do mistake ?It is so delicious, 10/10. ????Merci beaucoup Mlle. Colette!

Last weekend we picked up our annual galette des rois from Colette. This is a traditional French cake which can be mass produced (if bought in supermarkets) or hand made (if bought in high end patisserie like Colette). Our galette this year was a big disappointment. The almond part was gooey and slimy instead of being nice and firm. This made the slicing (a key moment of the experience) a failed attempt. We tried to cook it more but it never came out as it should. This was probably a misstep in the recipe and we informed the store via email. Never received a response unfortunately.$60 is an expensive price for such an imperfect galette.Update: the owner is aware of the problem and responded to us with apologies. Thank you.

I went there around 3:30pm and got a regular croissant. It’s a bit soggy so had to heat it up. ? delicious!! ?

Fires employees for calling out sick after working them 10 days straight at a time. They regularly require their staff to handle your food while they’re sick because the staff knows what happens to the employees that call out. Disgusting. And why are they working employees so many days straight you ask? Well, it’s because the wage they pay is so low that they can’t get any new applicants anywhere near the door. So enjoy that coughed on butter croissant the employee at Mademoiselle Collete at Palo Alto handed you today if you choose to support this dump.

A patisserie sold out of baguette, a burnt croissant for 5 dollars and slow services. I mean I have never experienced any of this in any of the patisserie I have ever been in France. Sorry but I expect higher standard for the price of products.

Honestly I don’t get why this place is hyped. Desserts are mediocre, cortado was sour. Staff is unwelcoming. my friend and I visited today around 10:30am and they still weren’t open and made us wait to order for 15min. Also there was some yellow thing on my dessert ( not a part of decoration ) and when I asked what is it and if I can get another one without this weird piece of smth, I was told that it is because that dessert was standing close to another dessert and it got it cream on it. Well makes sense, right? ( probably the correct answer was “would you like me to replace it?”) Weird place, bad service and mediocre food and coffee

Great bakery stop, with a variety of cakes and tarts! They also have coffee and tea if you're not into desserts, and they're as delicious as the lemon tart!
