We ordered six dishes but only got five (didn't get the sashimi combo). They still charged us for it but I didn't notice until later because someone else used their credit card. The place was overall pretty inattentive. We had to ask for the check multiple times after waiting a while. I am not surprised they forgot the sashimi. But why did we get charged for it?For such a pricy place, they should be more careful. Charging for food you didn't serve is not acceptable. I'm not giving one star because the rest was edible but this is a big disappointment.

The sushi didn't blow my mind, but the miso cod did. Get it. Others got the salmon and loved it too. So although this restaurant appears to be considered primarily a sushi place, I recommend having some sushi as an appetizer and heading for the mains.

In close to 90 minutes that I sat there, on an evening with only half the tables inside and outside occupied and half a dozen servers, I managed to get served one piece of fish and a bowl of coldish rice. I had to ask for water, and for the sauce the fish is normally served with. The waitress refilled my glass holding it all around the rim where lips go instead of the bottom part, with gloves she had been likely wearing all evening clearing dishes and punching touch screens. With one million deaths due to a contagious disease in this country alone, one would think a sentient being would know better, and or someone would train them better. I waited 25 more minutes for my two pieces of sushi before giving up and canceling the order, paying, and leaving, a little hungry. I gave it one star only because no star was not an option.

The Omakase was good. But the service is slow and short on staff.

AMAZING SUSHI!!!! 10/10 would come here again. This place is a gem. This has got to be one of the best sushi restaurants in Northern California. Everything was SO fresh and so flavorful. Each bite transports you into a wild ride, as if you caught the fish and ate it same-day. I didn't know what I was expecting but I will have to compare all my future sushi eating endeavors to this one from now on.Uni- the best item on the menu - so creamy, rich, and delicious. My mouth is watering as I type thisSalmon set 5pc- it's 5 pieces of salmon nigiri. Each piece is so tender and meaty and full of all the salmon flavor that I wantIkura nigiri - so delicious, the right balance of salt and carbsSashimi deluxe- basically an omakase but with fewer types of fish. There were a few uncommon choices like belt fish and this other white fish in addition to yellowtail, sockeye salmon, Toro, bluefin tuna.Chirashi bowl - added the rice that I needed in this meal and also had uni! As well as several other types of yummy fishSpider roll - the crab was very crunchy and flavorful. A good addition to the mealGiants roll - also a good addition to the meal, had potent salmon and eel flavor.I would come back in a heartbeat. The staff were friendly and service was extremely fast as well.

I used to come here all the time for their lunch bento boxes. This time, I came for dinner. The sushi was fresh and delicious! A little overpriced for what you get.

The food was very good! Four stars because it felt a *little* overpriced for what it was, but maybe I was spoiled in New York (just moved to Palo Alto from there). Would return.

Quaint local sushi restaurant with high quality and a wine selection of fish.

Very fresh sushi served with fresh wasabi. Delicious nabeyaki udon. Need to go back and try other dishes.
