Had the Stanford Cardinal Omelete with their Blueberry Coffee Cake and it was great! Very tasty. Fast friendly service too!
I had breakfast at Hobee's each of the three days I was in Palo Alto. There is an outside eating area, under a tent, that provided a more Covid-friendly place to eat. The food was really good and served in generous portions. Do try the blueberry coffee cake, if you are there for breakfast. Staff is very friendly, efficient and helpful. In fact, on my last visit, one of the servers came over to my table and told me how nice it was to me again. His greeting was, "You're back!". I apreciated that very much.
Hobee's is a Silicon Valley tradition. Although I've moved out of the area, figuring out where to have breakfast during a visit to town was a no-brainer. The blueberry coffee cake is practically a requirement. It's especially good for me because I have a whole list of egg-free options, from the hashbrowns (Mama's Papas is my pick) to the tofu scramble. And egg consumers have all sorts of omelets, scrambles, and bennies on which to chomp. Lunch options are also tasty.
The food was amazing, the service was great and everyone was so nice. We had the normal eggs benedict and strawberry pineapple mimosas, yummy ? Thank you Hobees!!!!
I have been a regular customer at Hobee's, Palo Alto, for a long time. I have enjoyed many good meals and the service has usually been good. But, the service I received on 1/30/22 was a major exception. My three friends and I arrived at 1:30 and were told they were closing early at 2:00. While that is the regular closing time they meant that they wanted to get out early to watch the 49er game which started at 3:30. Once our food arrived, we didn't dawdle in eating. At 2:30, the waitress attempted to remove my plate before I finished my last couple of bites. Then, the waiter was in such a hurry to run my credit card to pay my bill that it came out with a charge of $0.00. So, he had to give him my credit card a second time so he could run it again. I was very disappointed and annoyed that I was treated so rudely. I wish we had left when we were told that they were closing early. It was more important for the employees to leave early to watch the game than it was to give us courteous service. Giving them our business of four meals was not appreciated so I may never go back.

Great veggie scramble and can't forget the blueberry coffee cake which was delicious! I tried the cinnamon orange tea, way to strong with the cinnamon for my taste. Tasted like drinking cinnamon gum. Good service and environment. I would definitely come back just for the coffee cake alone.
The food is always really good and it is reasonably healthy. Nice and helpful staff. They gave the kids some coloring menus and crayons. The coffee cake is decadent and delicious.
Best breakfast burrito (bravo breakfast burrito) I have had in a long time!
