Very high quality south Indian food with a modern twist and presentation.

We went yesterday to Ettan to celebrate our family and getting through a rough year. We had been as a family to Srijith’s Taj Compton and just loved the Michelin experience and we still can feel every morsel of the 12 course dinner on our tongues. Since Covid we’ve been constantly calling Taj to go back and were told that they closed indefinitely to our disappointment. Then we discovered that Srijith moved to Ettan. So our expectations were pretty high when we went to Ettan. Unfortunately our experience yesterday at Ettan was lackluster. The food was above average but the service was extremely underwhelming. The food was rushed to literally get us in and out. We constantly had to call someone to clear the dishes so we could get to the dishes coming rapid fire. The cutlery seems pretty old and what you expect at a 1 star place and there was a constant drum of dropped cutlery in and around you. There didn’t seem to be a wine menu. Maybe the person serving us forgot to get us one or maybe Ettan just doesnt have one. We got the spicy tequila cocktail which was very good. Asked for a Syrah on the menu but was told was out. The person helping us serving us suggested a Bordeaux as a replacement which came in glass u would likely find in again a 1star restaurant (nothing against them..again expectation) and which just tasted like swill.. Hoping to see more from Ettan in the future…

Excellent meal last night at Ettan. Been there several times and love the quality and consistency of the food. Dining outside is always a treat there too. Service was a little slow for some reason, though. But overall great dinner.

Excellent service and ambiance. Loved the interior decor. Food was innovative and tasty. Thanks to Sumit for his recommendation on food and drinks.

Very tasty, well-prepared, totally unique food. We travel often; comfortable saying Ettan is in a class of its own. Skillful merging of cuisine, spices and preparation. The kind of place to return to for trying each menu item. High praise and thank you.

Best Indian food I’ve tasted in a long time! Great ambience and service

Good food but the team asked us to leave in 1hour before we were seated.

Not worth the hype or the price, would not go again

We had the chicken wings to start, the chicken biryani & paneer makhani entrees, and the guava and passionfruit desserts. The appetizers and desserts were exceptional (5/5). The entrees were fairly good but a bit bland (3/5). I would definitely come back here just for their spicy wings and creative desserts.

THE FOOD IS EXCELLENT!! I will return, the venue is great for celebrations!
