Probably the best sushi that we had in the Bay Area! The service was amazing, very attentive and helpful. The fish was fresh and very well seasoned, no need for soy sauce:) Highly recommended!

Good sushi dinner tucked away on Cal Ave. We especially enjoyed the two special fishes; the mackerel was well marinated in a vinegar to lessen the intensity of the fish flavor and the white fish was delicate and firm in texture. The nigiri in the dinner set were pretty basic, I felt the price was quite high for one piece per order as opposed to two. Fish to rice ratio on the lower side, personally I prefer higher. I'd probably skip the appetizers and sets next time.

A curious sushi spot tucked in an alleyway in Palo Alto. Delicious sushi and great sake selections ?. My favorite is the sweet uni from Japan that melts in your mouth. They don't have a website but they are reachable via phone or chat for reservations. Very friendly staff. Also green tea ice cream is a must try.

Daigo is such an amazing place! The sushi is so delicious! Everything is super fresh. We simply could not stop ordering, and everything was so incredibly delicious. You do have to make a reservation though. They do not take walk-ins, the place is small with limited seating.

Found this gem tonight, on a single search. Our group of 2 wanted to eat ? sushi outdoors. This popped up. Called them, and booked a table for just an hour later. They were accommodating letting us switch outdoor tables, all are heated. The food was really good, i got the Nigiri dinner and it was all different Nigiri, all really good. The menu insists that soy sauce isn't needed, and indeed I ate all without any sauce. We also had the red bean ice cream ?.

One of the best sushi restaurants in the bay!My friends and I made an outdoor reservation for a small celebration. It was a little cold, but the space offered protection against the wind and heat lamps for warmth.Daigo offers fresh sashimi with changing daily specials. We ordered omakase (chef's recommendation) and fell in love with the restaurant at first bite! The tenderness and flavor of each nigiri piece were amazing. We asked our server what his favorite fishes were, and we ordered them if they were not already included in the omakase. Absolutely amazing recommendations!Parking was easy and free in a nearby public garage.110% would recommend anyone with a sushi addiction!

Daigo - “Die-to-go” FRESHEST SASHIMI ..Oh where to begin with this amazing rez.. Daigo sushi has been consistent each visit and our family just loves and appreciates the friendly atmosphere of this restaurant so much. The vibe makes you feel like you’re in Japan - warm and welcomed! It’s also very clean. The entire menu is on point and delicious. You can get “Omakase” - Chef’s recommendations or just order on your own. Some of our favorites include any dish from the appetizer menu including Hamachi shots or any of the Crudo dishes- try it!Best sashimi includes Chutoro (fatty tuna), Ji-Kedmedai, Kanpachi (Amberjack), Nogoguro (SeaPerch), Shirauo (Icefish)Of course you must try the Uni (from Japan) and Wagyu!Handrolls we love include the Negitoro & TorotakuTop it off with Sake- highly reccomend Dewazakura “Izumi Judan”The presentation is thoughtful and light. One of the best Bay Area restaurants, if not the best sushi restaurant around town.Hope your mouth is watering by now! Oh yeah reservations are limited so you better call in now! Good luck and enjoy!See you very soon, Daigo.

Came in on a weeknight. The service staff appeared to be rushing us to finish our sushi dinner. The menu was worn out and staff couldn't help us much when we asked what were the specials. Ordered the dinner set and I didn't think the sushi was worth the price.

Ordered takeout dinner and expected that it would taste worse than dine in, but it turned out to be much worse. Have ordered takeouts from other Bay Area sushi restaurants, and this was the worst. It was like grabbing some sushi boxes from a grocery store, except the price was way higher.

The sushi here was really good! Aside from the amazing food, the ambiance of the outdoor seating was also very nice, with effective heaters and cute decorative lights. Would probably be a great place for a date night!
