Yum. Good service, fast, tasty. Do yourself a favor and go to the real restaurants, not the new market halls...much better! Missing the full bar I'm used to from their Zanker location.
Casual dining place with good food at nominal prices in Palo Alto neighborhood. There’s public parking available about a block away from this place. We had ordered samosas, vada pav, Pav bhaji and chai (Indian tea). Everything except the vada pav was good. The vada in the Pav was a bit soggy. I’ve had better vada pavs at other places.
I feel like this place has gotten better over the years. Regardless, it's very convenient and pretty delicious without being stand out or necessarily authentic. Not that they are trying. The mango lassi is too sweet but everyone loves it.
A very casual eat in and wonderful tasting food. I would highly recommend this place for anyone who is the Palo Alto neighborhood. The City Hall parking is free for three hours, and the prices are reasonable. The menu is accessible from the table via QR code. This is cool.
I've been dining at this branch of Curry up now pretty regularly since my place of work is in PA right next door. I regularly do take out orders here and I've got to say that the quality of food and service at this outlet has severely gone down since the pandemic and its quite a shame. On several occasions the staff here has been pretty rude with me. This one time I came in with my dog and they asked me to wait outside and did not bring me my pickup order for 15mins even though I could see it was ready on their counter all this time. Other times they have missed items in my order of given me completely wrong items. Worse is that they do not have any helpline for issues with their online orders; they just ask you to email them details about the order. They are also very inconsistent with the portion sizes in their takeout order. Depending on the time of day you visit, they'll either give you next to nothing in their rice bowls or otherwise fill it up to the brim. Its quite a shame because i used to enjoy eating here pre-pandemic and now i mostly try to avoid going here.
One of the restaurants to try out for Indian Fusion style dishes ?? We had the famous vada pav and their signature dish " Naughty Naan" !! The bowls are really great too and so glad to see some vegan options on the menu too. Staff is courteous and friendly. Stunning back wall mural reminds you of home. Definitely recommended. Bit expensive ?? but worth a try! Street Indian Food Fare with a Twist!!
Expensive but ok. Clearly 'everbody' lives this place because there are branches springing up everywhere, but i think it is only pretty good for Indian street food. Tastes could be a little more vibrant, and, oh, the prices. 30 bucks for lunch is on the high side even for Palo Alto
Indian street food! The wife and I shared an order of chicken tika masala and inside out samosas. Self-serving, walk up to counter and order. Fast and delicious! Spent about $24.50 and portions are satisfying. Defenitely recommend ? couple if tables outside, mostly indoor sitting.
The staff were friendly and warm but the food was stale. I got a thaali and that was out within a minute, quick service but pre made food. The curries felt stale and naan was chewy and rubbery. Avoid this location for indoor dining as the ambiance is also quite blah.
Marginal food at best. Tried 5 dishes from Raj Kachori, Quesadillas, Deconstructed Samosa Bowl and other 2, I forget. All of the dishes were mediocre. Good ambiance at best and cute infusion of Bollywood theme. Maybe happening place for Palo Alto, but by no means a great shake knowing the competition in town! Try Chat Patta Corner or Viks.
