The food was mediocre. The staff were friendly and the place was packed, so my review won’t really affect them. I ordered the French toast platter and a side of biscuits and gravy. Very bland, flavorless large portion of wasted calories. I’m always skeptical when I see large portions and it’s always the same…flavorless blob on a plate. I won’t be coming back! Very disappointed!
Poor customer service. Non existent resolution when providing customers with wrong orders. Nothing I order required ketchup, but that is the condiments I received instead of butter salt and pepper. Would not recommend. Food lacked proper seasoning and I wasn’t given additional.
This restaurant has been in our town for over thirty years.There was a time when we had a Karen's kitchen on the corner of Palmdale Blvd. And 10th Street East. The owner was a great fisherman and had serval big mouth bass mounted in a show case.It was great to visit and the breakfast was as good as I remembered.I will diffently go back.

The waitress Zowie provided excellent service. However, I was unsatisfied with taste/quality of the breakfast. I ordered corn beef hash, eggs and bagel and cup of coffee. Truly disappointed with the breakfast. I have frequented this establishment in past and this dish "was" superb. The coffee was weak in flavor and somewhat watery. 2nd cup was a bit better. The cornbeefhash had the taste of coming out of a can with minimal flavor & a tad undercooked. The eggs were average.It appears that this establishment may be under different management as breakfast quality is now on a different level. Highly disappointed in this cook.
First allow me to say that the food here is absolutely excellent. This has been a gem to find to get good breakfast. However, the experience I had today was intolerable. I wanted to make a takeout order for my wife and I and first I tried to call, but the phone number doesn't work. So I went in person and arrived at 1:40. I made my order and it wasn't anything extreme, just liver and onions, with pancakes and coffee, that was it. I stand around waiting for 25 minutes and then the ticket is given back to me and I'm told that the kitchen can't make it, and that the absolute latest they can receive an order is at 1:30, a full half hour before closing time.If that was the case, then why couldn't they tell me at 1:40 that it was too late to take my order? Instead I'm standing around for 25 minutes and then leave empty handed. This is inexcusable.
We were greeted very warmly by (Erin?) who immediately made us feel welcome. The atmosphere was busy but friendly. Portions are exceptionally generous. Best part was that they have Cholula, Tapatío and Tabasco all on the table!
Really nice place, was my first impression when I came. It’s really clean, and costumer service is fantastic. I definitely recommend this place.
