Are these a 1:1 carbon copy of the best bagels in Brooklyn? No. Are they ultra flavorful perfectly toasted bagels and the best bagels in Palm Springs? Resounding yes. Huge props to the savory flavors: fennel, olive, garlic, onion… these are all excellent. If I’m honest, the coffee is pretty meh, but that’s not what you’re here for. You’re here for a crunchy crust, burst of flavor, and warm savory center. Mmmmm.
Love Townie bagels. Had a delicious nova lox bagel with the works and got 1/2 dozen bagels to take home. Wonderful staff and service.
Great bagels, great staff! Definitely recommend the jalapeño cheddar or the french toast bagel, if you're in to something sweeter.
Delicious bagel sandwiches. Bit of a wait on a Saturday late morning, but they managed ok. They were out of a couple flavors, but to be expected if you waltz in at 11am.Don't forget to check out the Černý Popsicle art installation across the street.
Excellent bagel place. Not just bagel but cc are good.
The toasted everything bagel was awful. It was very small, chewy and very over priced. I’ll get my bagels at the grocery store bakery where they’re large and crispy on the outside and much better.
After not going here for a while we decided to give it another try. We had lox and bagels and small coffees. The bill with 20 percent tip was almost 45 dollars. To expensive for counter food. My bagel was stale and I would assume left over from Monday as they are closed on Tuesday. Also they have reduced the size of the bagels. I will go back to making my own. A little more work but they are closer to a new york bagel.
Great place for a cheap breakfast. Townie is the only bagel shop in town. It’s a more modern bagel shop. Unfortunately, it’s not managed well. There is a line most mornings. But there is little effort made for crowd control. They were out of most bagels by 11am. They had about 100 plain bagels but all the other varieties were out. I asked for extra cream cheese and they wanted to double charge me. My bagel was ok but not worth the wait.I would if bought a few extra bagels for the next day if they had more.Advice: Stay open later. Put up signs or floor stickers to help people form a line and not crowd the door. Track sales and make more of the items that sell out. Add an extra register. Most people in mine just wanted bulk orders or coffee. Pre bag bagels by 4-6 each for people who just want some to go.
The components of my bagel sandwich were good (egg, meat, cheese) but it’s the bagel that left me wanting. Very bready and dense texture. No chew or pull to the bagel. My pumpernickel had no rye element to it. It was just kind of a brown plain bagel. Similarly, my partner’s everything was more of a “something.” Service was friendly, but the bagel wasn’t good enough to warrant a return trip.
Great sourdough bread, bagels, excellent sandwiches, friendly service, good vibe.
