We ordered most of the menu and everything was amazing. They don't take reservations, so you just have to be willing to wait it out. The vibe of the restaurant was chill and the service was top notch. I have nothing but good things to say about Rooster and the Pig!
The food here is so unique and full of flavor! The verbage used on the menu can be confusing and every menu item has long, descriptive names (which makes ordering a mouthful) but everything on the menu is well thought out and absolutely delicious. I particularly like their chicken wing appetizer and the chicken curry ball which looks awesome and is so yummy!
Came with 2 friends on a whim. We sat at the bar while we waited 20 minutes for a table at the restaurant. Bar staff were nice enough and got us Thai iced teas and coffees super quick. The hostess was super friendly and so were the other patrons. For dinner we ordered the chicken, the mango spring rolls, the beef salad and the pork belly rice bowl. All four were amazingly seasoned and very good portions to split between three hungry men. Highly recommend this place for dinner or lunch.
The wait is worth it. Food is really top notch. Bold flavours, fresh ingredients and and lots of choices.
The first couple times we tried to eat here it was fully booked by the time we got there. On the last night we'd be able to eat here we got there right at 5pm as they opened and there was already a long line. Thankfully- we got the last two seats at the bar. score. This was easily the best meal we had while in Palm Springs. We ordered a total of 3 smaller plates and 3 larger plates. The bartender did a great job of coursing everything out and we never felt rushed. The food was amazing, very much worth the wait. And even though we were sitting at the bar, we had plenty of room for everything... and we did order quite a bit of food. All the staff was great- they were all very friendly. We can't wait to go back!
Been here repeatedly when we visit PS. This place fills fast, so getting an early dinner table is a must. The flights of food were well timed and the sharing plates were great. Hard to pick something you don't like on the menu. Deeelliiiccciioouuus!
The wait is a bit long, so prepare yourself. However, the food is well worth the wait.Service was good. Good selection of beverages and food. This go around, I had the meatballs and peppered calamari for an appetizer. Main dishes, I did the crispy beef and the panko chicken stuffed curry ball.
We came for the Vietnamese/Asian cuisine and were impressed with the dinner choices. Five spice chicken, with Szechuan peppercorn, clove, cinnamon, honey, tamari sauce was large and uniquely flavorful ($20). Tiger prawns ($26 )were huge and spicy, once you get them peeled, The Calamari appetizer ($16) was substantial and exotic. A glass of local Cab ($13) was a good match. On a perfect weather Saturday night, we expected and endured a crowd, but we were seated for drinks and again for food within 40-50 minutes. A lively social scene, with COVID safety an option we included.
Even with a 2 hour wait, we had an amazing time and the food was delicious! We went expecting there to be a wait and just chilled and had a couple drink at the bar beside the restaurant. We had the wings, the pork & date rolls, the cod and the crispy beef noodles and it was all fabulous! Staff was super accommodating and friendly. A must-go in Palm Springs!
Great food, fantastic service, totally worth the wait! Made a mistake thought we could eat at the bar, my bad, Collin got us on the list and compt our drinks for the misunderstanding! Already super vibes, Jules our server made excellent recommendations like the cod, delicious, papaya salad and of course the calamari! Too busy tastings take a picture of the food, all good.
