Big party! Great service & food.
Horrible food. Disorganized service. My lobster and crab canaloni was nothing but a bread stuffing with a 4 pieces of lobster? slapped on a plate too small so waiters thb stuck in my food. $4.95 side salad was a bowl of old greens with a very small chop of tomato on top. The garlic Italian and the ranch tasted exactly the same. One of my friends ordered the lasgna. What a joke. Some flat noodles on a saucer with sauce over it and very, very little cheese. Shame on you and all the other restaurants in the valley. Sorry about COVID but my group is tired of being ripped off.
I’m giving this Italian restaurant a 2 star .. based on the fact that they are so proud to display a flag associated with a political agenda I do not want my dollars going to! I wish they had posted those pics in there web site .. the food was good .. the portions are really small .. but filling .. just can’t get over the fact that the pics on line they are so proud of but are embarrassed by the actual store .. I can’t support hate in any form .. we tried it , they are will not get my bussiness ever again
I am from the Pasadena area, and eat here about every 6 months with my Aunt who lives in PS. Got Spaghetti w/ Meatballs (got it with Angel Hair pasta). It was soooooo good. Really flavorful. And the full portion was huge!!!! I judge a restaurant by it's Spag and Meatballs. And it is just as good To Go. That is rare. A+
Went in and everyone was nice and was seated right away. We sat there for about 7 minutes after we looked at the menu for 5 minutes. The person that sat us had to tell the waiter that was just standing there that we were ready to order. We ordered a torpedo sandwich, which by the way shows on the menu it comes cold and when the waiter brought it he said "you didn't tell me if you wanted it hot or cold so I toasted it." It was soggy and I wasn't going to complain and send it back. My dad ordered the soup and salad and spaghetti, the spaghetti was very bland and the waiter originally forgot to bring it out. When it was time to pay the waiter just gave us a price and didn't give us a itemized receipt. I thought it was a little high so I calculated it and we were being charged $6 too much. He finally brought me the itemized recipe and they were charging $15.99 instead of $9.99. I told him they overcharged us and he said the prices went up, and then he shrugged his shoulders. He then said he would text the manager. We paid it but didn't leave him a tip. Will definitely not be coming back.
Love the food, always consistent between the Mario’s in the valley. But, the service at the Palm Springs restaurant is lacking everything. We have been there three times this winter and have never got good service. Never concern themselves with cleaning off the tables, other than the dishes, never have I seen them wipe a table unless asked. We just don’t care about details that help make a dining experience. We had our drinks before the menus tonight, after asking twice for menus. My spaghetti, the best in the valley, came before I finished my salad. Never got asked or serviced a second drink or refill. To top off tonight’s experience, the ladies washroom was a mess, plugged toilet, no paper products, unless you count the ones on the floor. The floor was filthy. I will never go back to this location. It is so worth the trip across town to the Marios Bermuda Dunes Washington location. Have had attentive positive experiences here for the last 10 years.
In Palm Springs for vacation, we ate here on a Monday night and had an excellent meal; pasta and salads with freshness and great flavors. It was so good, we decided to return on Thursday. We ordered different entrees, and were disappointed with the entrees. I ordered Sausage cacciatore which lacked flavor and contained too many bell peppers. Shannon is an excellent server. Like many restaurants, I think this place is understaffed at present.
Terrible. Very poor service. Couldn’t get orders right. Food was improperly cooked. Food was not served hot.
I've been going to Mario's for years, even before I lived in Palm Springs, and while it was never fine dining at least it was good. I took houseguests there that had been previously and had liked it. ... this was THE worst restaurant meal in many years - and I'm in 25 to 46 states every year. I ordered sausage marinara and first it came as chicken, then when it was replaced the sausage slices were so dried out they were like cardboard, but the red and green peppers were raw. One of my guests ordered a baked meatless dish that wasn't even warm - after it was microwaved it was tasteless he claimed. The other guest ordered a veal dish that should have had lemon in and on it but had none. No salad is included anymore with the overpriced meals. Yes, they were short-staffed both in the kitchen and dining room, but if they can't serve a decent meal then 'ol Mario shouldn't open that day. I was embarrassed and will NEVER return and this place deserves to go out of business. You can do much better in PS. And .... we observed one woman object to wearing a mask while walking thru the restaurant, so they "made an exception" .... really?!?!? :-(
horrible! Ordered over phone and went to pick up and payed for my food. I payed and waited for it to be ready. It missing half the order and when I told them so they said I must not have ordered it. So on top of paying for all 4 of my items but only reaving 2 and tipping 20% I came away with have my order and was told if I needed to reorder I could get back in line.
