Visited with a large group of women. Service was excellent. Food was delicious. No mistakes in the orders and everyone complimented their dish. Personally I thought the decor was rather depressing but all else rates high.
Always searching for the perfect, authentic and ‘just like Abuelita’ used to make chile rellenos, I found it here. ALSO, the pork tamale omg, so good. Everything was great, from the salsa, entrées and the service. Well done!!
The food was excellent and very filling. Service was great and food was prepared and served to us quickly. Theres also desert iguanas outside the restaurant which I enjoyed watching.
A great review and highly recommend from a realtor as the the top 10 favorite restaurant to eat in Palm Springs area, well I had to try experience it since the #1 choice was totally agreeable. La Perlita I would rate as the top 3. Since I enjoy Mexican food I had to try it. I totally experienced one of the best flavors I had ever had. If anyone would like to enjoy great Mexican food La Perlita is definitely the one. You won't be disappointed.
This was our fourth trip to this spot in the past three years. I think that because of the easing of pandemic restrictions, the owner ( who we like) was caught flat footed by the surprising demand on this Tuesday evening during the BNP Paribas Tennis Tourney. What he should have done was limit the seating so that his staff could handle the customer needs. It took literally THIRTY Minutes for them to sort our our six drinks ( five margaritas and one beer) they even had to ask my Mother-In-Law on three separate occasions what she had ordered. ( a simple Margarita on the rocks, no salt) before they got it right on the fourth try. Our food actually arrived a full ten minutes before our drinks. Sad. And then our server literally ABANDONED us for a full 45 minutes. When I finally travelled through the restaurant to track her down and ask why she had abandoned us for a full 45 minutes, she was very apologetic, but by then the damage was done. I like the food here but it will be a loong time before I come back.
The shrimp Enchiladas were a perfect portion, in a delicious light sauce. Such a change from the usual heavy sauces. Service was excellent, inside space is small but not crowded, patio is shaded and very nice.
The best Mexican food I have found in Palm Springs ! It's so hard to find a authentic spot out here and this is a gem ! Everything you order will be amazing! It's family owned and operated which makes it that much better. It's a must have if you want some real food and great service everyone is so nice and helpful even if they aren't your waiter they all help everywhere. Definitely one of my go to spots !
La Perlita for our 3rd time while visiting here jn the Desert. Food was good as always, just could have been a little hotter. Margarita was made to my liking. Enjoyed the Chips & Salsa. We shared a combination dinner of Chili Rellenos, Enchilada & Soft Shell Taco accompanied with Rice Beans. Reasonable & plenty for two. Friendly service by Moises. Nice to see they have expanded since our last time here in 2019.
