We visited on our last trip to Palm Springs. It was super busy due to Thursday night street fest. They were very efficient and got our order done in record time. Very pleased with the visit. Customer service was very pleasant. Thanks for a great visit! Date shake was great as usual!!
Best shakes I’ve ever had! My second time here and it never disappoints. The flavors are so good and taste exactly what it tells you. Doesn’t taste artificial at all. I also love the multiple sizes! The donut is the best part too. Making sure to always stop over here whenever I’m in PS

Temperature was over 100 degrees and we stopped here for a shake. The menu is extensive and the shakes were the best we have ever tasted - not to be missed!
A tour guide recommended this place for shakes. Our family all had the date shake since the area is known for dates. It was thick and delicious with small chunks of dates. The best!
I just heard that date shakes are a thing in CA. I tried one at Great Shakes in Palm Springs. What a dessert!! They offer their homemade whipped cream which is fabulous! Don’t skip that part of the calories. Also featured is an oversized straw (should be a requirement for all shakes :)) with a mini donut. The staff was friendly and the place was kept very clean. A great stop in downtown Palm Springs.
Great shakes are indeed great! Super thick and sweet but not too sweet. The little donut was a nice addition to both drinks. The next time I’m in Palm Springs I’ll for sure be back!
Heard the thing to get in Palm Springs was a date milkshake so googled and Great Shakes was just around the corner in the La Plaza/Downtown area. It’s the cutest 50s decorated shop, with vintage dinette chairs, Rat Pack photos on the wall and cool lighting fixtures. I was dubious about a shake made with dates but it was fantastic. Small bits of dates were noticeable within the ice cream mixture tho not overly so. The little cake donut on the straw was an adorable addition. Wish I lived in the area, I’d love to try all their flavors and I’d def get a date shake again.
The only reason we were in Palm Springs a week ago while on our way back to Tucson from LA was to stop at Great Shakes again. Great Shakes set's itself apart from others not only because of the super tasty flavors, but for people like myself that have trouble with lactose, their base ice cream is lactose free! The milk shakes are 100% ice cream - no milk filler and they give you large rugged plastic straws - perfect for slurping down their creamy concoctions.My wife and I agreed, easily the best shakes we've ever had. Any future travels that take us close to Palm Springs and I can guarantee we'll pay Great Shakes another visit!
Great shakes is simply outstanding! My wife and I can't believe how GREAT they really are! Staff was patient and attentive. Worth every single calorie...just get the biggest one :)
