Housed at the Saguaro Hotel, we ate here a few times during our stay out of convenience. They are right next to the pool and they have daily Happy Hour specials from 2-6PM while on Tuesdays they have 1/2 off tacos past 6PM. The restaurant has a nice interior and a cozy patio area. Too bad their food is nothing great. We had their tacos, quesadilla, and nachos - edible but nothing memorable. I enjoyed their Spicy Guava Margarita though.

I don't know what else to do, I've been calling every day for a week now trying to make a reservation for a party of 9 and have not been able to get one confirmed. (Our party is too large to make the reservation online and every time I call a host says that only the manager can confirm large party reservations).

It was sold to me as the best and my experience didn’t match the expectations.A little dirty (including a small critter bug crawling on the table).Drinks are terrible unless you go for beer only I suppose.Service is very friendly and helpful. The food definitely not worth a second look at

10.00 for chips and salsa? A small handful of chips at that. (And way too much salsa that just sat there since we had no chips).Shockingly overpriced for small amounts of food.5.00 for a “street” taco smaller than the palm of my hand. And that was discounted for taco Tuesday.Service was lacking (we almost just left) since no one brought us the bill. The room was FREEZING, and we really were unhappy. We will not be back, will not recommend.

Taco Thursday presents the best tacos I've ever had. They're small, so you can have a variety. The nachos were also the best I've ever had. Margaritas, too! Great service and food.

This hotel is truly an offbeat weird spot, but go anyway. You will be reward when you sit outdoors on the patio at El Jefe, their Mexican restaurant. The crafted Margaritas were wonderful, with fresh lime juice and agave nectar. We had the shrimp ceviche tostada - fabulous - and the fish tacos and the carnitas (pork) tacos. The portions were generous, with three tacos each. Very enjoyable. Recommend highly!

This is my fourth visit to this restaurant and so disappointing especially during Modernism Week, the Main Event in Palm Springs. I always visit at the same time. The service was excellent, but inflation has rendered the menu ridiculously priced. Substantially minimal menu as has happened elsewhere during COVID. $10 for a cup of spring greens? I don’t have a problem with $14 margaritas but they need to be above average. Such a shame to see this property downgrade to this state. It has been a pivotal property but they will need to step up their game to remain relevant. The lack of clientele is foreboding.

Omg so good! Ordered room service at the Saguaro hotel from El Jefe and it was so fresh and tasty! The chicken sandwich is to die for! There’s no picture to post cause I ate it too fast lol

We participated in a Mezcal tasting at El Jefe. Service was excellent and the food was well-done and creative - like nothing I'd ever had before. I can't comment on the regular menu, but their special tastings/events are worth attending.

Left. Uncomfortable atmosphere, menu tries to be innovative without good staples. They have plastic covered menus that are sanitizable, yet refuse to use them and expect you to download an app so you can down load their menu. No, sorry.
