My first time here. I had the best miso soup, and they made me a chirashi bowl that wasnât even on the menu. The staff was friendly and professional. The food was great. Iâm used to a very upscale Japanese restaurant in Napa and it was every bit as good.
Our to go to for Sashimi n Sushi Good if us excellent
Great night great food special place!
Food was great, sushi chefs were creative and rolls were beautifully presented! Ambience is nice, trendy & well decorated. But the service is lacking a bit. Something about the younger generation (I'm only in my early 30s) is lacking in customer service and etiquette... We were looking to celebrate and spend some dough, but were immediately turned off when we asked to move to a booth and got a "we'll see if that's possible" eye roll. Keep in mind, we were the ONLY patrons in the entire restaurant. Booth lined the far walls. What was the problem? We were told an employee had one of the booth reserved. Okayyy... the other booths? We were told with reluctance that we could sit in one of the other booths. Wouldn't have asked if their chairs had been accommodating to someone with wider hips or large man 6'3". Cute chairs, but they curve up your sides and dig. We planned on staying a while for drinks, appetizers, main courses through desserts - so of course, wanted to be comfortable. No matter how hard we tried to be pleasant after that, we just never got to good customer service and cut our visit short at only a $200 bill. Oh well. There's many other high-rated sushi spots in the desert to try next time.
We drove 13 miles and we were disappointed. The sashimi plate $56 was very flat. There were 6 kinds of ingredients, 4 pieces of each. Except for the salmon, everything else was bland. The shrimp was too unpalatable. It tasted like boiled shrimp. I was disappointed. Hand roll selected 3 kinds, $9 for each.California, spicy tuna, salmon skin, also very general. Sandfish roll $25, this one is delicious, 4 servings. There are only 2 waitresses, and she looks very busy. Every time you think about it for a while, she will leave, and she will come back later. Very slow to get a glass, very slow to get another beer, very poor service, but we still leave 20% tip.
The restaurant is cool it has a great atmosphere, the servers are among the most polite I've ever had, unfortunately the rolls are not very good... And that's the only reason why I gave them 3 stars nice place best servers in the valley. They have other dishes like carpaccio that are tasty, is an excellent place to gather and have some drinks but the sushi experience is average at most. The prices are fair, the rolls are well priced but is just that they are at best similar to the ones sold at bristol farms, except they are smaller. I had to change my review I went. On Saturday night and the carpaccio is just terrible tasting, I'm really sorry but the food quality is mediocre cannot even compare it to places like hamashi in cat city or even the juggernaut that Misaki is. Terrible food great ambient.
Met with clients; was able to discuss business inside; great customer service and delicious food.
The good was very good. The service from the amazing host to our waitress was great. Canât wait to come back!!
Always looking for a good sushi restaurant. Found this gem tucked away on El Paseo. The restaurant is quaint. The menu has many interesting combinations. We had spicy tuna tostadas, lollipop & venue rolls. All were fabulous. Our server, Ashley, couldnât have been more attentive. Now that I know where it is, I will take advantage of the back parking lot the next time. And there will be a next time.
The food was beyond disappointing. We ordered tuna and salmon sashimi and sushi and yellowtail (hamachi) sashimi with jalapenos and ponzu. The salmon was good. The yellowtail was mediocre. The tuna was awful. It was dried out, hard and tasteless as though it had been sitting around unused for months. At the prices The Venue charges, all the food should be outstanding. This did not come close. The disappointing food came on top of not very friendly customer service. We went without a reservation, arriving at 7:50 pm on a Friday. Five tables were open, but the hostess said she had nothing for the two of us. We asked about the sushi bar and after walking away to consider our request, the hostess came back to tell us we could take two of the four empty seats. When we finished eating, four of the five tables that had been empty on our arrival were still empty. Overall, this restaurant is grossly overpriced for the quality of its food and service. One of our most disappointing experiences at what is supposed to be an high-quality restaurant.
