This is a brand new place (Dinah Shore across from Sam's/Walmart) that hasn't been open very long. In addition to the drive-through that the one on 111 lacks (due to zoning restrictions), this one is slightly bigger, particularly the kitchen, and the dining area. No outdoor dining that I could see. Otherwise the food is the same. They have 2 self-order terminals in addition to the 2 registers. Only difference is that if you go to the register, you will get a buzzer to alert you that your order is ready. Otherwise you have to listen for them to call (yell) your order number, which is hard to hear if you are sitting in the back of the dining area. Good parking. Easy in and out of the parking lot. Definitely will be going back. My Chicken Club Sandwich was great.
I just had one of the worst customer service experiences in years at The Habit Burger Grill in Palm Desert. I spent over 40 minutes in the drive through waiting behind only 4 other vehicles. I would have left, but you're trapped in a drive through. After I received my order and was driving away, I reached in the bag and the fries were ice cold. I turned around and went back. I went in and said my fries are cold. They never said anything just started cooking more fries. That took another 5 minutes or so. Finally they were placed in the bag and they tossed the bag across the counter never looking at me. I left. The fries weren't cooked completely and we're greasy and limp. The burger was also cold and the lettuce wilted.I won't be back. I can't believe how bad the experience was. I've worked in customer service for well over 40 years. They weren't even getting the basics of any customer service, it was awful.
Sorry to say how disappointed I am about this particular restaurant. I have been 2 times there. Excessive amount of Workers with no direction, looks like they are just having a great time. On my first visit it took over 20 minutes to get my food ready. I gave my review and they gave me a freebie, so I came back, and bummer, this time it took me 25 minutes to get my food, and to topIt off the meat was undercooked! I told the manager and he promise a new burger and guess what! They forgot to make it ?. Waist of time and money, Not coming back ?
DO NOT EAT HERE! We waited 30 minutes for a Santa Barbra char and a chicken salad. (We were the only ones in the restaurant). There were about 8 employees in the back and a couple just walking around (I don’t think staffing was an issue). The Santa Barbra is suppose to come with avocado mine clearly didn’t. The hamburger meat was barley cooked. (Does not look as bad in the photo). The chicken salad had about 4 tiny burnt pieces of chicken. It was a joke. When we finally got our food we asked for dressing for the salad they said they ran out of the one requested (no problem). when asked for a different dressing employee gave attitude. The fries were cold the burger was cold. This is the first time to this location and will be my last. I’ve never had a bad experience with any other habit. This is my first bad review I’ve ever written. Take these negative reviews seriously!
This location just opened so I can understand they have some screws to tighten. 4 burgers were ordered...they were all prepared wrong...I overheard ONE gentleman in the kitchen complain about our order... prior to getting it. Not cool. My kids have food allergies. The girl taking our order took the order correct i checked the receipt she was INCREDIBLY SWEET offered my kids ice cream and apologized. Her kindness IS the only reason why this is a 2 star review. My advice CHECK YOUR FOOD BEFORE YOU LEAVE.
I'm not one to complain that much but I feel something needs to be said and you need to fix the issues. I've never had any problem other than waiting a good minute with Habit Grill and the food was always amazingly good except for this particular location. This was my 3rd and last visit, each time was at least a 30min wait, fries were always over cooked or refried, and to much salt, burger was just a wrapped up mess and missing ingredients. I hope things get better soon.
EXTREMELY SLOW... I am literally writing this review in the drive through line, hoping we can exit it before the 40 minute mark. We are at the window so I am hopeful, but it's not looking great. You can probably be in and out of a sit down restaurant much quicker. They're are what looks like 7 employees standing around/dancing so they don't appear to be short staffed. I would love to wait to get the food to be able to speak to it's quality as well, but at this point unless they hand me a waygu steak it won't be worth the wait in the middle of our road trip.Update: total time just under 40 minutes. I implore you to take your business elsewhere unless you have a lot of time on your hands and will be hungry in an hour.
I have always liked an occasional meal at The Habit. But this time there was a long lineup at the drive through. I decided to go in to order, the restaurant was not busy. I placed a burger order and was told it would take 25 minutes. I asked if anything else could be made quicker and was told no. I am very glad I did not get in the drive through line. I hope they get their labor problem solved.
I have only been to this location twice and unfortunately won’t be returning. On both occasions, I waited over 40 minutes in the drive-thru lane. On my last visit, not only did I have to wait 40 minutes just to get to the window, the patties on both burgers that I ordered were barely browned on the outside and completely raw on the inside. I waited nearly an hour for inedible food.
Great Food! Excellent service, and in a wonderful location. I’ll be eating here regularly
