Great food and a lot of fun

I stopped by this lovely restaurant during memorial weekend. The staff was great, I had a wonderful dinning experience and will definitely be back again.

We phoned & made a reservation for 19.30. We need not have done so as I would describe the restaurant as about 30 - 40% occupancy. We were seated at a Teppan hot plate straight away - just the 2 of us.Drinks were taken fairly promptly and arrived ok.We ordered our meals. My wife had Filet Steak & Lemon Chicken. I had the Shogun Special with Scallops & Ribeye steak. The food arrived quickly and was cooked infront of us, to our liking. There was no show of any kind from the chef. He just cooked the food and served it up.My wife finished her food first and I was about two thirds through mine when the server asked us if we were going to have desserts. We both declined and the check was presented to us immediately. I was still eating at this time.Moments later, another server arrived at our table and started clearing my wife's plates, bowls & silverware away. Again I was still eating. She then started to clear away the drinking glasses infront of us and at this point I pushed my plate away from me and stopped eating.I found this whole episode of giving us the check and starting to clear away, rude. There was no one waiting to be seated. There were plenty of empty tables. I can't really why they behaved as they did. The total bill for the 2 of us was $117.

This place was great. Standard hibachi style tables available with reservation. Taste and quality of ingredients was way above average. Service and attitude of staff was great. Our friends and my gf and I had a great time!

This is clearly a family-kids place for the fun of watching your meal cooked at the grill at your table, and having the chef entertain with swirling knives and tossing bits of food. Fresh vegetables, well-cooked meat and seafood, and generous servings, but in terms of environment, well, this is not a quiet place and sort of disorganized. My first glass of wine came in a dirty glass. My friend's cocktail was watery. The sound system screamed loud thump-thump muzak, so conversation was difficult, to say the least.

The food was delicious. The drinks were also amazing. The ambience is beautiful. The waitress was very nice. HOWEVER, Jesus was a terrible entertainer. It was my sister's birthday and she was very excited to get a show. There was no laser show, there were no knife tricks, there was no cool fire tricks, no onion volcano, no shrimp toss, no NOTHING. He just cooked the food...boringly. The dinner was expensive and I felt cheated out of the experience.

We enjoyed our meal here at the teppanyaki tableDanny was a great entertainer. Shrimp was seasoned well, but the steak was a bit under seasoned. The glass of wine was well served. I just didn't like that, under the table it was dirty from the previous seating. Rice all over and napkins on the floor. I know everywhere is understaff but still cleaning should be priority.

Jose our cook was amazing And he treated us like VIP. We were put in a area away from the guests, which was perfect. But we noticed the service was very slow. And we had to ask multiple times for drinks to be refilled after the first drink. We only got one refill. And some of our party didn't even get that second drink.

We visited this Shogun on Valentine's Day and had a great time. We didn't do the hibachi but had sushi, which was pretty good. The drinks and the service were great.

Delicious. Fun experience too. The staff assumes you are familiar with Tappan so let them know if you're not for the best experience. The cocktails were perfect and our chef was uber talented.
